I've been watching your videos since my daughter was diagnosed and we've been on the omnipod For like 6 months and it's been awesome hoping and praying it works out for Henry. Also if you end up staying on the omnipod I would recommend you get a spray like de solv it or unisolv because it can b kinda painful when u peel of the pod.

I think the body has an adjustment period. One of my kids in Sunday school had an adjustment period.

I didn't get the omnipod but i think it's just an adjustment. I was high a lot after I switched. It was an adjustment for me counting by units to carbs and subsequently under blousing for things, plus the air in tubing thing. I hope it works out for you all though.

Don't get discouraged! The first couple of weeks are going to be all over the place until you figure out the settings. It gets better!

Oh that click is horrid! We started the omnipod for our 3 year old a few weeks ago and are still getting adjusted to it. Right now we are using the Elma cream to numb it because that sound is very intimidating! Henry was a rockstar!

I love the independence this is giving him. Give it a chance to level itself out. He's so proud of himself and will hopefully allow you to breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that he is taking charge of his own needs.

My prayers will go up for Henry that the omni pod works for him. He was so so proud and I definitely got emotional watching this process. What a trooper! He is also extra sweet with Charlie at the end. Such a caring human he is. So special.

Hang in there! It is frustrating but I think it's just a matter of time until you get his settings figured out. We have had my daughter on a pump since November and we are always adjusting the numbers, then she will do fine for a while then we start adjusting again.

You got this! You will have many more really highs till you get settings right... but when you do it's totally worth it!! When we first put my son on it we were overwhelmed thinking this is not good but I am so glad we stuck it out. Good luck!!

yeah, hang in there. When I started my pump I was told not to take my night time levemir because they wanted to make sure I had no more long acting in me by pump start in the morning I guess? Anyway, I arrived at pump training sky high and then went low in the afternoon. Took like another 2 weeks to figure out my basals and all. He'll do great! Especially, since he seems to really want it and is motivated. That'll help a lot. :)

It will take a little time to adjust to the omni pod but when it does y'all will love it. And also soak the adhesive tape on his pod when it's time to change with baby oil for about 30 mins and it will come right off easy that's how I get mine off.
