How Henry VIII looked in Real Life. In this video I show you how Henry 8th might have looked using my technology (After Effects, Photoshop, and Cinema 4D). I spent a good many days creating this as I wanted to use as many portraits of him as I could to give you a strong idea of how his appearance might have looked.
All of course is just my artistic interpretation and opinion and I hope you enjoy! I also talk you thorough the video to tell you more about Henry and what his deal was.
Henry started out good looking by the standards of the 1500's and through various injuries, started to decline in physical appearance.

Henry VIII was born in 1491 just before Christopher Columbus founded America. His father was King Henry VII. Henry was the second son and was never meant to be King. He is famous for splitting the Church of England from the authority of the Pope and having his 6 wives (Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymore, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr). He is also the father to Mary, the Bloody Tutor Queen, and Queen Elizabeth I.

Like dude was definitely dealing with some Trauma from seeing his father work hard to secure the throne and all of England in peace that he basically wrecked and ruined himself and screwed England in the process. Kids will always listen to what you do. he really believed that there was no other possible way to ensure the Tudor reign other than having a boy... and the gag is: If he overruled the church's decision to divorce Catherine and come up with his own case..then dude... why can't you change the rules (again) and make the heir a female..which actually been pretty badass!

He was handsome, and fit, young still when he was married to Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, and somewhat during his marriage to Jane Seymour. Just he was downhill by the time he married Anne of Cleves. He had a bad temper, and he was cruel in ways before his head injury, just the head injury worsen his temper. Including another injury he later got in life which was leg “ulcers” they believe, that reportedly his leg smelled rotten, and it had pus coming out of the ulcers often. That’s was when he was married to his last 3 wives, otherwise the head injury took place in the last couple months of Henry and Anne Boleyn’s marriage.

However there is suggested evidence of diabetes and also the effects of the jousting accident which led also to fractured bone in one leg that was never resolved.

Fun fact: he never said goodbye to Anne. He simply left at the end of the May Day tournament. Just stone cold walked off. Anne was arrested later that day, and Henry never saw her again. (Movie depictions that show him visiting her in the Tower are false; in real life he never laid eyes on her after the tournament.)

I don't believe that a concussion left him with brain damage. His leg injury never healed and always caused pain. He could no longer be physically active as he once was so he put on weight. He was constantly worried about having an heir. It was a myriad of things that, as he aged caused him to be more and more grumpy and impatient. You bring his portraits to life. Very well done.

The concussion, head injury didn’t leave him with brain damage. Just made his temper worse. After his first 3 marriages, it all went downhill with his weight. He ended up suffering his head injury in the last months of his marriage with Anne.

Holbein was ordered to paint Henry to look healthier and better than he actually looked. Henry was grossly morbidly obese, had an ulcer on his leg that kept weeping noxious pus and fluids, and scowled constantly before his death. It's also said that he most likely contracted syphilis during one of his many sexual liasons.

Also there is the fact that non of his daughter's produced a live birth/pregnancy; also another indication of congenital syphilis. The problem can be either one, BUT as the males and females of our species determine the biological “sex” of the child, it was 100% his fault he didn’t have a son. There is a chance that he did indeed transmit a sex-linked recessive trait that would show only in males. Males get one Y chromosome from dad and one X from mom. Mom has a recessive gene on the branch of the X chromosome that would match up to the “missing” section of the Y chromosome, it would be expressed in the child. When a male emparts an X chromosome, there is more leeway because the mom will also emparer an X chromosome which usually has a “good” version of those genes and the child becomes a carrier of the recessive gene but the child is not affected by it.

I read an article about Henry XIII. They proposed he might have been Kell positive. This is a blood factor similar to RH positive or negative. Kell positive is extremely rare and in reproduction it acts like an RH positive baby with an RH negative mother. In essence the mother's body would attack the fetus. The article pointed out some of Henry's later physical problems and said these were typical for Kell positive men. Not sure if it's true but it was an intriguing thought.

Irony is that Henry VII had a lot of mistresses and many of them produced male children the problem was that all were illegitimate but it seems as though he gave these male heirs some kind of title so in effect, they were taken care of for the rest of their lives. Henry had the unfortunate luck to not be able to produce a LEGITIMATE Male Heir. Henry also had an assorted plethora of STDs. He infected all his sexual partners including his wives and if these wives were frail such as Jane Seymour it isn't difficult to understand why things went sideways most of the time for Henry in the pursuit of a Legitimate Male Heir department. He could have inevitably and unbeknownst to him rendered many of his female sexual partners sterile due to his STDs. As a side note, on his death, Henry burst wide open from syphilis before they could bury him that's sort of speaks volumes doesn't it? Before it was discovered that males had an XY chromosome as opposed to the singular chromosome that females have, all his wives were blamed for the inability to produce a male heir. That problem really lay at the doorstep of Henry himself.

Henry VIII had a mistress, Mary Boleyn who was the sister of Anne Boleyn, and Queen Elizabeth II is a direct descendant of Mary. Princess Diana, Duchess Catherine & Sarah Ferguson are also descendants
