That at York is common for services coming of '4' and a late running going into platform '3' - a curse of the rationalisation of York back in the day. AT Hensall the 'local door operation' is only done for 3 car units - 2 car units all doors released. There are service plans in the future - at some stage to increase the Leeds-Goole service away from just the peak workers services, so as to avoid the ride either to Doncaster or Hull to get to Goole! Hope you enjoyed the ride on the far superior Class 144 pacer - and the line reference 'Pontefract Line' - in fact, all West Yorkshire line references are no longer used - having all been dropped in December 2016.
@LeeRender19807 жыл бұрын
You're welcome...let us know when you're back up here for the All Stations Challenge - we've another quirky line in these parts and that's the one between Moorthorpe and Church Fenton - calling at Pontefract Baghill - Pontefract's forgotten station - and Sherburn-in-Elmet

This video is a good example of how so much of the UK railway system is living museum of bygone days. For example, York Station has "NER" displayed in the brackets that help hold up the roof. Forever they will be until the curved York Station comes down. Now you spotted a sign from the L&Y and a Victoria Regina postbox!

Have you got stats for the 'least used' station in East Yorkshire? I was wondering about Arram on the Hull to Scarborough line. I think that a train only stops there at peak periods. Arram is a small hamlet close to the market town of Beverley. The booked stops would be intended for commuters. I just looked for the ORR least-used for 1017-18 and no surprise the winner is Redcar British Steel. Who the hell are the 40 listed users if that station now has no access to even the steelworks? Curious individuals like yourself?
