Enjoying your video from Las Vegas, a city of over 2 million with zero train service. Well, as a train lover, I get to enjoy your fun trips around the UK. Keep up the good work, you both are a good team, funny and entertaining.
Uh, as they say in the Wikis, [Citation Needed]. Lots of people keep proposing a SoCal to Vegas train, but it never actually happens.

I actually took a train from Denver to Las Vegas and back in 1995 or so. Maybe that’s gone now. Some great scenery near Grand Junction and a ride through the Moffat Tunnel .
@Murderdogs3 жыл бұрын
@@markiangooley Just did some reading and apparently the service was closed down just two years later, sadly! And Las Vegas hasn't seen a passenger train since - although people are hoping to change that. Sounds like this is what you rode on! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Wind

Funny and nice to see Dorset in a video. When the train pulled into Poole, I knew it was. When you got off at Dorchester South and walked to Dorchester West, I realised you had to cross the railway line at both stations to get to the least used stations in Dorset. At the sign showing which way you had to go to get between the 2 stations in Dorchester at the Fair Field car park, it's a good thing you didn't go on Wednesday as there would have been market stalls there. I know this as I'm a local.

I love that Anne is the announcer at mainline stations like Manchester Piccadilly and London Kings Cross, but she's also at tiny Chetnole. Every station should have Anne as the announcer. Up north on the TPE network, the automated announcer is usually this dreary sounding man and its depressing.

It would've been shot in 1080i then, which is the same width of 1080p but only has 720 vertical lines, as opposed to 1080, and each frame at 1080p alternates lines. Hence watching it at 720p solves this as it means that there are only 720 vertical lines anyway, negating the issue.

It keeps the rain and weather out and the warmth in if the door doesn't need to open. The guard needs to release the door (the beeping and flashing button).
@Murderdogs3 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, there have never been trains on the mainline where the doors are opened for you, as TheCaptScarlett says, it's mostly to keep the weather outside etc. The driver or conductor (depending) releases the lock and the passenger opens. Except on the London Underground of course where they're all opened for us... Definitely seen a few Londoners struggling with the alien task of pressing the open button!
