make sure your relays for the ECU and fuel pump are the special Bosch ones with a diode in them else you will run the battery flat

You can mistakenly swap the Coolant temp sensor and #1 injector connector. Done it once and it created all kinds of problems. Vehicle would start and run but once warmed up it would not restart. White connector is coolant and black are injectors.

Hi mate awesome video, Did you need to upgrade the few lines/ rails to high pressure or are the standard series 3 lines okay ? Thanks
@Hensen19544 жыл бұрын
Standard ones OK. This engine is a 5 litre stroker. I am running 47psi to the fuel rail. A little bit higher than standard, but seems to be great for this engine.

@@Hensen1954oh wow that’s insane, I think mine doesn’t have fuel rails just rubber hose lines, do I need to change them ?
@Hensen19544 жыл бұрын
@@matthewmcintosh1 The fuel rail is the metal pipe feeding the injectors, and has the fuel temp sender in it.

Hi hope i get a response i am stuck trying to hot wire my 14 cux system, i have it firing up by pouring petrol onto intake but can get injectors opening etc. what wire have you run from coil to ecu? is it main injector relay signal? could you please clarify what pin on ecu it is so i can locate it thank you.

Hello, this is a very helpful video! Thanks! I'm trying to find the plugs for an O2 sensor with a green little resistor plug instead of a bluebone like yours. Do you know how to identify the color code? Greetings, Aaron
Thanks for responding. I've read that article. It says the green resistor is for 3.9 and 4.2 engine. I've got an 4.0 tvr engine. Does it make a difference?

Hi I have connected up that system. When Throttle pressed have way down engine starts to misfire. Release accelerator and runs fine. Any help appreciated.
@Hensen1954 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like fuel pressure or flow is the problem. Fuel need to be about 43psi.
@johnmckeever88899 жыл бұрын
One question: the constant live wire. Can this just be a fused live wire running directly to the battery?
@Hensen19549 жыл бұрын
+John Mckeever Yes, that's exactly how it should be done - quite a heafty fuse, 35 to 50 amps.
@Hensen19548 жыл бұрын
+John Mckeever Are you up and running now ??
@johnmckeever88898 жыл бұрын
+Hensen1954 not yet. Will use a pair of SU carbs to start up as I have a cam to break in and I need to start the engine straight away. No time for electrical fault finding. Still have the hotwire set up for later.

I'm having a proplem in powering my ecu up after following this video, I think the problem I have is the automatic transmission inhibitor switch which would of been on the body loom not the engine loom, what's the best fix for this?
@Hensen19545 жыл бұрын
ECU must have 30 /40 amp constant feed from the battery - thick wire, and a switched power wire from the ignition switch.
@marcuscampbell57715 жыл бұрын
I have power correct power supply to the relay but the ecu isn't switching a earth signal to trigger the relay
