Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:12 - Gatara Residences - Ancient Suburb Erik resumes in Gimli's house in the Gatara Residences. He is currently a Level 50 WAR/Warrior. Gimli has picked up a few summer furnishings from Kyurarana Beach. After leaving Gimli's house, Erik exits the Gatara Residences to Mount Gatara. 1:43 - Mount Gatara At the Post Office at F-6/F-7, Erik gets his Bazaar sales. He also receives some money sent from a couple of my other characters, Heorot and Gimli. I'm hoping this will be enough to cover the cost of a plot of land and a house. Erik visits the Traveler's Bazaar at G-5/G-6 and lists some materials for sale. Erik takes the teleportal at H-5 to "In front of train station" (5:12). Then, he enters the Gatara Station at A-7. 5:33 - Gatara Station I don't know why I took Erik out of the station here. He goes right back in. Erik talks to the Attendant at E-4 (6:18). He buys a ticket to the Julet Station, Wena Islands. 6:53 - Julet Station Erik takes the door at F-7 out to the town of Julet. 7:10 - Julet Erik talks to Arnai at C-6 (7:43). He lets her transport him to the entrance to Kyurarana Beach on Kyurarana Coast. 7:58 - Kyurarana Coast Erik exits north at F-4 to Kyurarana Beach. 8:33 - Kyurarana Beach Erik has completed the Summer Festival 2024 quest "Run Through That Summer Sea!", so he can choose his event venue. He goes to the recommended Event Area. Erik chats with a couple of NPCs on the beach. At D-8, Erik talks to Race Shop Shyla (10:35). He accepts entries for the Kyurarana Grand Prix. The reason I waited until now was the Dolboard Boost functionality. Erik enters the Kyurarana Grand Prix (11:12). He is placed on the Water Dolboard at D-7 in the start area of the race course. Races start at regular intervals. Erik receives regular warnings leading up to the start of the race. Eventually, the Kyurarana Grand Prix begins (14:00). Erik must make his way around the course as quickly as possible. The Dolboard Boost will help with this. Going over the jump platforms will refill his charge meter. However, there are also Men-o'-War that will impede his progress if he runs into them. In the end, Erik reaches the finish line in 2 minutes 26 seconds (16:34). An event with Shyla takes place afterwards (16:54). For finishing in 4 minutes 20 seconds or less, she rewards him with a pair of Gold Flippers. For finishing in 3 minutes 40 seconds or less, he wins a Gold Wetsuit. For finishing in 3 minutes or less, he wins the Surfboard Prism. For finishing in 2 minutes 30 seconds or less, he wins 10 ko of Dolsoline. These are all one-time prizes. There is also a prize for 2 minutes 20 seconds or less, 30 Lottery Tickets. I will try for it once more, but I won't obsess over it. The Surfboard Prism was the main prize I wanted, anyway. Erik talks to Race Shop Shyla and enters the Kyurarana Grand Prix again (17:45). Erik is taken to the start area of the race course. After a brief wait, the Kyurarana Grand Prix begins (20:01). In the end, Erik reaches the finish line in 2 minutes 23 seconds (22:31). Oh, well. Lottery Tickets will be easy enough to get. Erik is returned to the beach. Erik visits New Furniture Shop Mare at the Beach House at E-8. She has the new furniture available this season. Erik Zooms to the Mount Gatara - Entry destination, Dwachakka. 23:38 - Mount Gatara Erik takes the teleportal at H-5 to the Plaza (24:14). At D-5, he talks to Custom Shop Decory (24:40). He lets her install the Surfboard Prism on his Dolboard. He customizes his board and changes its form to the Surfboard Prism. At A-7, Erik enters Gatara Station. 26:12 - Gatara Station Erik talks to the Attendant at E-4 (26:26). He buys a ticket to the Glen Castle Town Station, Ogreed. 27:01 - Glen Castle Town Station Being mindful of the gap, Erik disembarks in the station. At B-2/B-3, he takes the northwestern exit to town. 27:25 - Glen Castle Town Erik talks to Town Guide Mezona at D-2 (28:10). Town Guides provide support for the My Town features. Erik must talk to Land Manager Listeah at North Port Lendor before using these services. Erik Zooms to the South Port Lendor destination. 28:29 - South Port Lendor Erik takes the door at D-4 to the station. 28:53 - Port Lendor Station Erik cuts through the station and takes the door at D-1/E-1 to North Port Lendor. 29:15 - North Port Lendor At E-5, Erik talks to Land Manager Listeah a few steps northeast of the station (29:31). Her services include creating the character's My Town and going to another character's My Town. This isn't quite what I had in mind right now, though. I'm betting a My Town is pretty pricey. Erik Zooms back to the South Port Lendor destination. 29:46 - South Port Lendor Erik talks to Bazoom Girl Banry at E-4. He gets swept away to the Glen Castle Town - West destination, Ogreed. 30:08 - Glen Castle Town Erik takes the gate at C-2 to the Glen Residences (30:51). I have done some searching off camera and found a block in the Meadow Area district with an available Medium Size plot. Erik goes to that block. There are also Snowfields and Cloudtops districts. 31:26 - Glen Residences - Meadow Area Erik arrives in his chosen block in the Meadow Area district of the Glen Residences. He finds the available Medium Size plot (31:45). He examines the sign and chooses to buy the plot for 100,000 gold. Pretty reasonable. The really expensive plots are in Luckland. He meets Caretaker Lunne. She gives him the My House Zoomstone. This Zoomstone will take him to his property in his chosen residential area. It cannot be changed at a church. Caretaker Lunne tells Erik about the available housing services. Erik will need to buy a house and some furniture. Now that Erik is a landowner, he can examine the sign out front to build a house, sell his land, or move. Erik visits the Building Shop at B-4 (34:01). He will need to buy the appropriate size of house for his lot: a small house for a small lot or a medium house for a medium lot. Erik buys a Square House L for 50,000 gold. Erik examines his house sign at F-4 (35:02). He chooses "Build House" to build the Square House L there. At C-4, Erik visits the Furniture Shop (35:52). There is a lot of interesting furniture available. Erik picks up an Ogre Bed and an Ogre Wardrobe. There is also a Garden Shop, which sells outdoor furniture. Erik buys a Mailbox. Erik heads to his land (39:20). He sets up his Mailbox outside his front door. He can now use the Mailbox rather than a Post Office to send and receive letters. Erik checks his Mailbox and gets his Bazaar sales. Then, he enters his new house (41:07). Inside, he places his Ogre Bed and Ogre Wardrobe. Installing a piece of storage furniture provides access to Furniture Storage. A player can use Furniture Storage for up to 60 types of items; however, installing more storage furniture will not increase the available storage beyond 60. Note that a house also has 60 slots of House Storage in addition to Furniture Storage. Erik leaves his house (42:01). Various services can be used while checking the outside door. The Meadow Area has a Depository at C-4. House Storage is available at the Depository, but Furniture Storage is not. Erik deposits some ore in Item Storage. Erik Zooms to the South Port Lendor destination. 43:04 - South Port Lendor Erik talks to Bazoom Girl Banry at E-4 and gets swept away to the Sea Melting Cave destination in the Kyurarana Coast, Wena Islands. 43:30 - Kyurarana Coast Erik "surfs" northeast from the Sea Melting Cave entrance. At F-4, he enters Kyurarana Beach. 44:53 - Kyurarana Beach At D-8, Erik finds a sunbathing Ogre woman named Oiria (45:31). Since he has some Dwachakka Oil, he can rub the Dwachakka Oil on her back. He could also prank her with Toad Oil, but that wouldn't be nice, would it? At E-8, Erik visits Souvenir Shop Benia at the Beach House (46:17). There is plenty of stuff to waste money on. Erik buys the Resort Backdrop for 760 gold. Erik also visits New Furniture Shop Mare at E-8 (47:32). He buys the White Sand Beach Rug for 2,000 gold, Wall with Surfboards for 3,500 gold, Flapjack Octopus Plushie for 3,000 gold, and Beach Shell Lamp for 2,500 gold. Erik Zooms to the My House destination in the Glen Residences. 48:18 - Glen Residences - Meadow Area Outside his house, Erik sets up the White Sand Beach Rug, Wall with Surfboards, and Beach Shell Lamp. The Wall with Surfboards and Beach Shell Map have a few appearance settings. Erik enters his house (49:58). He sets up the Resort Backdrop and the Flapjack Octopus Plushie. Some furniture, like the plushie, can be stacked on top of other furniture. Erik leaves his house (51:24). He visits the Traveler's Bazaar at E-4 and puts a material up for sale. Erik takes the exit at D-6 to Glen Castle Town. 52:32 - Glen Castle Town Erik takes the door at B-4 to Glen Castle Town Station. 52:56 - Glen Castle Town Station Erik talks to an Attendant at C-6 (53:26). Description continuation: 54:18 - Julet Erik sets up a glamour for his Gold Wetsuit and Gold Flippers. It sure is ... gold. At B-5, Erik talks to Balbatos (55:51). Balbatos is the point of contact for the other summer event, Phantom Sea Trashka. After listening to an intro and viewing the rewards, Erik chooses to go on a voyage (56:52). Balbatos wants Erik to go on a practice run first, so Erik agrees. 57:31 - Phantom Sea Trashka - Practice Erik goes through a practice attempt on Phantom Sea Trashka. He must pick up various things, but he must avoid the Rockbombs and other explosive items. High latency certainly does not help; Erik gets blasted into the water. 58:48 - Julet Erik is returned to Julet. He talks to Balbatos at B-5 again (59:05). He chooses to go through another practice attempt. 59:41 - Phantom Sea Trashka - Practice Erik makes another practice attempt on Phantom Sea Trashka. He picks up some valuables and non-valuables, and he avoids the Rockbombs and other hazards. 1:01:04 - Julet Erik is returned to Julet after his practice attempt. Balbatos tells him some of the particulars of a real voyage. Balbatos gives Erik 5 Champion Hearts, which he can trade to Travel Champion Monji nearby for some items. Erik talks to Travel Champion Monji at B-5 (1:01:59). Monji will take Balbatos's Champion Hearts in exchange for items. For now, Erik does not buy anything. Erik talks to Balbatos at B-5 and sets out on a voyage (1:03:29). 1:03:51 - Phantom Sea Trashka - Voyage 1 Erik joins a party on Phantom Sea Trashka. He runs around to grab loot while avoiding hazards. Late in the voyage, a storm will roll in, hindering visibility. Erik's score is tallied after the voyage (1:06:19). 1:07:01 - Julet After the voyage, Barbatos can reward the player based on their High Score for the current voyage, as well as their Total Score, which accumulates over all their voyages. Erik has earned a High Score of 165,400. For earning a High Score of 120,000 or greater, he earns a Gold Bar. For a High Score of 150,000 or greater, he earns 3 Lottery Tickets. Erik talks to Travel Champion Monji at B-5 (1:07:57). He trades in 5 Champion Hearts for a Liquid Metal Floatie, an umbrella accessory. Erik equips the Liquid Metal Floatie through the Chameleon Umbrella. He talks to Balbatos at B-5 and sets out on another voyage (1:16:54). 1:17:14 - Phantom Sea Trashka - Voyage 4 Erik joins a party and sets out on another treasure hunt in trashy, stormy Trashka. 1:20:18 - Julet Erik now has a Total Score of 534,572. For earning a Total Score of 400,000 or more, he earns a Sanguini Floatie, an umbrella accessory. He equips it through the Chameleon Umbrella. Erik talks to Balbatos at B-5 and sets out on one more voyage (1:21:14). 1:21:32 - Phantom Sea Trashka - Voyage 5 Erik joins a party and continues collecting fallen treasures and trash in Phantom Sea Trashka. 1:24:38 - Julet Erik earns nothing new. Enough Trashka for now. Erik Zooms to his "My House" destination in the Glen Residences. 1:25:10 - Glen Residences - Meadow Area Erik checks his mail and receives his Bazaar sales. He drops by the Depository at C-4 and deposits some gold in the Gold Bank. He also deposits some items in Item Storage. Erik earns the accolade "Super Rich Man" for depositing 100,000 or more gold into the bank. Erik rests in his house and signs off.
