What if after a surgery a patient is given Heparin for 14 - 21 days while hospitalized, it gets missed but found once discharged through a platelet count of 11,000 and then immediately re-admitted and put on an alternative thinner. Can Heparin - Induced Skin Necrosis and Thromboypenia surface years later?

Rx: -Stop Heparin -Give a direct Thrombin (IIa) inhibitors-ARGATROBAN -Do not Switch to LMWH -Do not give WARFARIN (until platelet count Normalizes) -Do not give Platelet (until severe life threatening bleeding)
