Very inspirational! I'm a very young and active 70 yrs old and after 2 years of living hell I'm considering how to rebuild my life. As I've camped my entire life in everything from tents to camper trailers and finally a beautiful 23' wide body sprinter van I was forced to sell due to unforeseen circumstances, I'm now considering all options. I really appreciate the few company names you dropped and would love to see a list of all that you've used as I'm a very capable carpenter/handyman, DIY'er and could easily take on a build out project like what you have. Thanks for posting, nice build that allows you to get into the back country too. I have a Tacoma with the 6.5 foot box and wonder why so many people choose the short bed. The extra space would be a huge improvemen for full time living. And nobody needs to shower everyday.

I hear ya there! I'd be fine living in a van or truck, but the other half has mobility issues (among other things), so it's just not feasible. She's agreed to give nomad life a try, but she's wanting a fifth wheel glamper or class A. We'll just have to see how things go when the time is right (the nest will potentially be empty in a year or so).

that is badass! just FYI webasto heater works on diesel and gas as well, straight from the gas tank very brave to sleep in the truck camper, in my van I can jump in the driver seat and take off in the hairy situation

Thanks for this. My taco will heve a poor man set up for escaping Yukon winters. Until then it hauls firewood or weekend camping gear. Just always wondered why in the US the short box taco is so popular. In Canada about 90 percent have the six foot box which makes it a faf supirior overlanding platform in mho. Thanks and carry on

Very nice build. This is my first time viewing your KZbin channel. I have to tell you I’m really impressed and I love your attitude. I don’t live on the road but prefer to do Overland n journeys lasting from two to eight days at a time. My job, which I like btw, does allow me the opportunity to do that frequently. Maybe we’ll bump in to each other someday and share coffee, a meal, or a beer and share stories. Until then keep having fun and getting after it. You are one BADASS. 👍🏻
