This camper looks very safe. I like the little details (draining, etc.)that make it easy for senior female weaklings like me who might be camping. (Yes, I mean it, I’m not strong physically.) Most of the other campers worry me, with all maintenance issues to remember. And built like a tank! Thanks for reviewing. Good presentation.

I’d recommend both four wheel camper and scout campers before kimbo. Also both made in America, cheaper by thousands and higher build quality. Attention to detail in camper builds is vital and the production line at kimbo doesn’t put time or effort in to match the price they’re charging..

@@ConlonKiffneyPhotoI'm currently cross-shopping them so I'd love to hear more details. Can you be more specific on what aspects of Kimbo's build quality you found lacking? Also interested your experience/history with the brands you've mentioned, e.g., have you lived with all three brands for an extended period? Thanks for your candor!
@ConlonKiffneyPhoto10 ай бұрын
@@-ellimist- yes! I worked as a design engineer at Kimbo and found certain aspects of the manufacturing line to be suspect….Too many rivets… equals a lot of chances for leaks. I lived in a four wheel camper for over 4 months on the road at one time and my parents decided to buy a scout camper personally. So lots of experience with all different styles of camper. I’d recommend the 4wheel for the ease of use, price point and accessories. The integration between the battery and the car is key and scout doesn’t offer that and I don’t think Kimbo does either. The 4wheel also offers a king size bed on a pullout system which is highly undervalued. The sleeping iv done in those had been AMAZING lol

I know people don't really know about Kimbo but these campers are absolutely amazing they are priced pretty good for truck bed campers also. Only reason I didn't buy one is the fact of not having a sufficient ability to run a/c through the night without a generator. If it somehow had 600-800 Amp hours of lithium with a way to solar and alternator charge itself it would really make itself full time capable. For my style this just didn't fit the bill but it's still a amazing camper. This company and humble road are personally my top picks for quality builds.

Wet bath? cassette toilet at the very least? A huge issue with truck campers is the inability to leave the campsite without leaving the rig. A camper van, B class, C class or A class allow you to safely remove yourself from a situation without setting foot outside, whether it's a four or two footed problem.

Thank you for your service to this great nation of ours, from one Veteran to another. I served in the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman, and understand the sacrifice required. I’ve been thinking about either doing a van conversion or getting a miniature truck bed camper like this one. This is actually one of the more complete truck bed campers I’ve seen (with the exception of a toilet, which I guess you can just purchase a composting type of portal one. Since she has a small window unit, I’m assuming she would have to turn on the engine to run. Possibly have a high capacity, second alternator for that? I don’t think she could create enough solar power to run it. All and all, really cool camper. I enjoy watching your KZbin videos.

My favorite part about the Kimbo campers is that awesome heater setup. Thanks for sharing! I'm sure the next owner of this camper will be very pleased.

But there's no toilet. That would be more important than a shower for me. Very interesting camper.

This looks awesome. How do you prevent someone raising the tailgate while you are in the camper? Is there an alternate exit? I'm too big to go through that door window.
@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures2 жыл бұрын
It’s okay, you just open the window, reach down and then open it

Her camper is beautiful decorations. But she got her house. Jesse is selling her RV to public. It’s very cool interior with everything. But it doesn’t have the stove and microwave. I think you’ll add “Coleman” stuff from any stores. You’ll also add small propane for stove. I hope Jesse would be appreciate to sell her favorite camper soon. It’s expensive including pick up truck 🛻

Thank you for your service and for the tour. For a used truck camper, though, 35g is a steep tag. Brand new camper by several quality manufacturers cost less. You might wanna rethink that. I wish you the best on your next chapter!

The "air pockets" you point out at 4:12 are nothing more than external braces to stiffen the floor of the overhead part of the camper. It's a very easy solution instead of beefing up the internal structure of the camper. It won't make a bit of difference to the aerodynamics of the rig.

The only flaw that causes concern is the door can be blocked by the tailgate. It's a security and a safety concern. Egress is very important and I am unsure of the size of the pop out window on the side. Never underestimate the power of someone not thinking or a person with malicious intent.
@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures Жыл бұрын
Christopher, just open forge door window and reach down to open the tailgate
