It was apparent that Tsujimoto didn't really like or understand Joan Brown's work. In my visual art magazine in 1976 we ran an interview with Joan by Jan Butterfield. Jan was a warm hearted, super smart art writer who did well by Joan. I agree with the comment by Mrkacek. Let's face it many curators are uncomfortable looking at and judging work with a strong human component and a lot of emotion. Roberta Loach

Don't allow cold curators like Tsujimoto comment on warm deeply communicative work. Almost all of her comments are off the mark!
