I'm dying to see JJ roasting me for being a full-time student and my financial aid covering my living and educational expenses. I also have his same age, and don't work at the moment. The only difference is that I don't owe anything to anybody... I actually help my relatives each month. I'm sure she'd still kill me.😂 I don't think there's anything wrong with it because at the end of the day you'll contribute to the future of your nation. Just saying.🤷‍♂️

@@charliedays Why would she roast you? You just said you don't owe anybody anything, so you're not in the same position as he is. He was taken care of with financial aid but he agreed to pay someone back on a loan, which he then stopped doing. Then he just decided he wouldn't work to get the money, complaining that he has to go to school and is too busy to get it. So no, stop making excuses for him. He was in the wrong by trying to live beyond his means while still being a student.

The first thing I did was go and apply for jobs because I knew if I even wanted to so much as put gas in the car I would have to work. Worked all the way through High School, then college. At 33, still working lol. That's how it works.... literally.

That’s honestly kind of disheartening. Education is one of the biggest “gaps” between the wealthy and the poor. Ideally nobody should have to work AND do school at the same time. If everyone was able to focus on their studies knowing their needs would be met, they’d do a lot better, both on their studies and in terms of their mental health and energy levels, etc. That would also mean that they could potentially get a better job down the road to earn more, and subsequently contribute more back… it just makes a lot of sense to me!

@@BearBoiBlake You sound very naïve and privileged. I grew up neither wealthy or poor, my family is comfortably middle class. My parents instilled in myself and my siblings the importance of higher education and they helped put us through as much as they could. However financially, they did not have the means to just pay for every dime of our college education. I consider myself pretty successful and I worked at my college while taking classes. All of my peers had jobs during school. It's normal. I make 6 figures, having a job during HS and college did not have any bearing on how much myself and my peers earned after our education. If anything, we're doing better because of it.

Judy is right here! I'm 31 and a Full-time student and I work 40hrs a week. I have to pay my bills. A man just has to have a sense of duty and take care of himself and his household (which comes first) and then seek dreams and aspirations (i.e. education, music, etc.) This doesn't apply if you just graduated highschool and have many opportunities to get school knocked out when you're young enough. Even then, though (which I see a lot of young men in my area doing), you should at least work part-time.

Plus the joy of taking comfort in the knowledge that you aren't like them! 😉 👍 I worked when I was 28 (started my first job when I was a teenager); still employed now, full time, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I'd rather earn a living by working hard and paying my own way in life, instead of lazing around at home, being unproductive and taking handouts (for the wrong reasons) - either from friends, relatives or the government. So "if you are not disabled and old enough to work, you should make every effort to do so" is the motto.

Wow. The defendant is a 13 year old trapped in a 28 year old body. He thinks that the world owes him because he is a full time student. What a juvenile mentality.

I started as a full-time college student at 18, worked 40 hours a week, rented a room without a kitchen or heat or a/c. I graduated with Honors in 4 years. Cry me a river, Bro. Also went to graduate school and worked a full-time job and did research assignments for professors. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

I did exactly what he did. I worked full time from 16-28. I was part-time in college from 23-28. Went full time for final two years. I didn't take money from other people and not pay them back. This guy is just a looser. FWIW, I lived in the city for 5 years - never had a parking ticket, not even on the campus. How do you string up 19?

I started college when I was 20. It took me 5 years to o get my degree because I worked full time having 3 part time jobs and went to school full time so my grant would pay the tuition. I worked to help support myself and my ill mother. It’s possible if you don’t expect everything handed to you and you’re responsible. Know your priorities.
