80-90% of the people I attended school with whilst earning my MBA worked full time--the plot twist here is that some of them (gasp!!) were women with children--sometimes they cooked dinner when they finally went home (around 9:30 p.m.)--class started at around 6 and I rushed to get to campus after work, which, unfortunately, was on the other side of town. These female colleagues (and friends of mine) tended to be very good students. I'm male, but I had to rush home to walk my dogs:) Even my Persian cat was happy to see me, LOL! There were no such things as "weekends" (homework, reading, writing papers, research, laundry, dog time, etc.) Good thing a couple of the female professors were hot (my female colleagues never cared for that joke:)

You can tell she's so sweet and he put her through hell and yet she still said "he was a nice man but, no offense to him etc etc.." the fact that she still feels bad about saying anything negative about him after all the money she's shoveled out in his direction shows what a kind soul she is. I think she'll make an amazing teacher.

My oldest sister is 44 years old. She has 4 kids at home, she works full time as a special needs teacher, just got her Bachelor's degree in teaching this week, and is about to go back to get her Master's degree next semester.... Now, I understand not everyone would be able to do that, it takes a lot of hard work and determination that some people just aren't capable of. But good grief, if you want to skimp by life, never be able to afford anything, and not support yourself fine... But don't be a twat and bring other people down with you! That guy is the definition of a loser.

I worked with a medical resident who made her own clothes, and her daughter’s clothes, spent weekends grocery shopping and then cooking dinners for the upcoming week and put them in the freezer, was a pathology resident putting in 50 hours a week at the hospital, and rotated weekend call, and ran 5 miles every morning before she came to work at 7 AM. I got tired just listening to her tell me what she did. The point is, you do exactly what you want to do - you make time for what you want. His excuses are pitiful and childish, and at 28 he should be self-sufficient, not letting someone else front him a car - a woman he’s not even involved with. Gigolo.

Okay dude, does your financial aid require you to take 24 hours or something? When I went to school (which was around the time this doofus did I'm guessing), 12 hours was full time. That's FOUR classes. You can easily find a job to work around that schedule. What a freaking bum!

My 20 year old son is a full time student, works part time, and applies for every scholarship he can. Has maintained a 4.0 for three years. He hasn't received any money from home because there isn't any to give. My 25 year old son works full time, goes to school part time, owns a condo, and also doesn't receive parental help. It is very hard. But it really CAN be done.
