My friend who is a Spanish teacher says that when Italians were in his class they often could speak the basics easily because they are both romance languages and part of a continuum from Italian, Occitan, Catalan and Spanish but they do make a lot of grammatical mistakes as they go on. Learning lyrics in another language isn't too hard in fact singing makes it easier often.

A fair point (even though we Northern French have a slightly harder time, we still find it easier to learn Spanish or Italian than English) Though I thought I'd add the spoof viking who sings Spanish is actually a Spaniard.

@@Ingremance In Britain at least in the 1970s when I studied French we all learnt what I call "Charles de Gaulle giving a speech" style. Very proper grammar and very nasal pronunciation. I remember standing in a queue at a small semi-rural station on the outskirts of Paris waiting to say "Bonjour, je voudrais acheter un billet pour Paris, s'il vous plaît" and noticed everyone else was saying "Bonjour, à Paris" and being served. It was a revelation that French speakers were not acting like they were declaiming publically LOL and I never looked back.

As italian i must explain one of the most underrated jokes of this video: "esta vida loca, a mirar la foca" which should sound as "in this crazy life, aiming for the seal", the joke is in the word "foca"(aka, seal). In italian the name of the animal sounds like "fica", which means "pussy" I know, it's a little play on words, almost childish, but in the whole context it is quite funny

Thanks! As a Spanish speaker I just relished in that line because it was so random, it ended up being fun. But this adds some additional context, and the sexual nature of it just meshes perfectly with the Reggaeton genre.

@@Nyerguds i know, i'm italian. I was just saying that "mirar" is meant in spanish in the song and not in italian. Mirar means "watching" in spanish and "aiming" in italian. In this case it's "watching"

It’s pretty much a spoof of Despacito by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. Even the last part where they are dancing and singing without the music. It’s in the Despacito music video. This song is way funnier if you understand black metal culture, specific bm bands and the controversies and mayhem of the early 90‘s. A lot of those stories can be found in a docu-book titled “Lords of chaos”

There is a version with English translations of the Italian lines. There are a ton of references to other metal bands in a humorous way. The picture they are burning is of a black metal musician that burned down a church in the 90s. I don't know all the references though. I'm sure someone will be along with all the info.

Italian lines? Spanish lines. The only Italian part is a jingle from a TV advertisement of Italian Scotti rice brand.

@@terjetroll920 Varg did burn down 3 churches and killed Aarseth. He was believed to burn down Fantoft aswell. I recommend you to read about 1990's Norwegian Black metal (satanistic) community since it affected so much of the metal history. A good start is to read about Mayham. The dawn of the Black hearts album cover is actually the real picture taken of former vocalist that made such big conflict in the band.

Back narration at the same fragment - "By sunlight (originally: moonlight) we ride ten thousands side by side": it is Manowar - Battle Hymn (1982). And the photo they burn - it is Varg himself. Some references are explained in english subtitles in original video.

They performed this song (very very badly) on Spain's got talent. They didn't actually play their instruments, or really sing, just dance horrendously. They also didn't have their spanish guest singer who sang the parts in spanish originally so they butchered what little they got out. It was magical :D Another notch in their collection of trolling various corporations and establishments (another fun one is their unsanctioned IKEA tour, you'll know why if you watch the recommendations you got here or look for their most watched videos)!
