You can sum up this song with the question "What if Varg Vikernes met Daddy Yankee?" It takes black metal themes (burning churches, desecrating graves etc) and metal instruments and mixes them with reggaeton visuals (beaches, corona beer, bum-shaking girls etc) and the classic reggaeton beat. It's genius.

Nanowar are great, a band that plays as a "hobby" they are made up of software engineers, people who have phd's and work for universities, etc. The last album is very Italian so it's unlikely to get enough listeners abroad, but honestly it's a wonderful album full of irony and references that only an Italian or someone who has lived in Italy can understand. Then there is also a song dedicated to my region, so perfect! I also point out that the term Nano indicates a size of 10exp-9 nanometres or nanograms.

Varg Vikernes (Count Grishnackh) was sentenced to 21 years (maximum in Norway, unless you did something really bad and they can make it longer) for killing the co-founder and guitarist in Mayhem, Øystein Aarseth (Euronymous) and 3 church fires. He got released after 15 years and now lives in France under the name Louis Cachet. The group has some fucked up history. Their vocalist shot himself and Euronymous, instead of calling the police, went to the store to buy a camera and took pictures. One of these pictures was used as the cover on the album Dawn of the black hearts.

Problem with Nanowar is that some of their songs are totally not understandable to people not in Italy. I mean, if you don't know who Giorgio Mastrota is you just can't get the songs.

Nanowar are awesome!! They mix some perfecly played big and heavy folk metal (but sometimes they mimic others styles of metal too) with the most absurd lyrics, sometimes i think they pic words from a hat and make songs accordingly to that. Their new single Polenta Taragnarock is a masterpiece
