She is a disgusting human. Why would she think people wouldn't find out? Pretending it never happened doesn't make it so. However, that being said, the brother has had three weeks to tell her that he thinks she's despicable. It's like a dog. You have to reprimand the dog pretty quickly so that they know what they've done is wrong.
