Thank you! Audun Laading was a really great bass player and it is pretty tricky for me to play their songs, but I did my best. It is really hard to believe they are not with us anymore… 😢

Not at all, the bass stood out on most of their songs IMO. It was never really just background noise, it's grovey and very upbeat; it contrasts Stephen's deep voice and made an unorthodox match. Overall, they made it work somehow and I'm still saddened by their early departure, they were just getting recognized too 😔

@@anonomus460 yes but what I meant is that you never really appreciate the bass and focus on the other stuff especially since What once was has so much going on but a cover enhances the instrument and makes you hear it more clearly. On the normal version I had to pay attention to hear the bass well whereas here I can hear it with no effort at all, that's what I meant.

Incredible cover. The bass lines on this album are absolutely sublime. Whoever was playing and writing them has a huge appreciation for bass, you can really tell.

It was Audun Laading who played bass and wrote bass lines for the band, unfortunately he has passed. I do agree, All of Her's songs to date have such amazing bass lines they could be whole songs on their own.
