I went to their last show….It’s pretty crazy because I was debating on going to work or watching these guys play that night. I ended up quitting my job 😂. What’s even cooler is I got to talk to them before the show in the alley! These guys were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met and were answering me and my friends dumb questions hahahaha. After the show they stayed for a bit and were taking pics with the fans. I gave them a hug before I left. The craziest thing about this story is had I went to work I would’ve passed their accident because my job at the time was driving for a company that went from Phoenix to Coachella and then back to Phoenix..but instead I got to see them alive instead of on the side of the road😢. Not gonna lie..this video hit the feels. Glad they still have a loving fan base❤

Im sick to my stomach.. I have been listening to Her’s casually for about 4 years now. Just yesterday I was curious to know why they hadn’t released any music in the past 6 years. So I searched online if they had parted ways, but this was not what I expected. I am devastated and have been sobbing my eyes out. Can’t believe it took me four years to even hear about this. May all three of their beautiful souls rest in paradise.

I went to music college with Stephen (pronounced Steven) for two years. We were both two of the youngest people there, age 16. He was a drummer, like me. He dabbled in guitar but only played once in a performance for a Joy Division tribute and sung one line in a Christmas Band Aid recording. I was the second best drummer in the whole college and Stephen was the best. He was the kindest most humble person there was. A lot of us (often me lol) would often argue or be quite competitive but Stephen would never say a negative thing about anyone or behave boastfully or anything like that. Just a pure truly nice person and everyone liked him. When we turned 18 some of us were getting ready to apply for University and I was really good at all the academic stuff. I remember a speech from our tutor saying to find schools in big cities opposed to better schools in smaller towns. I did all the research and Stephen asked me one time in a classroom which Universities he should apply. I gave him a list. One of them was LIPA, a very prestigious performing arts school in Liverpool which was very hard to get in to. It was the first choice for many of the top students in our grade and Stephen was the only one who got in. I didn't get in the first time and went to a different school but dropped out. Later I went to a university in the same city as Stephen to study business instead, but hadn't spoke to him since college. I ran into him on my first day in Liverpool at a convenience store. I was stood behind him and said 'alright', he looked at me and said 'woah', very surprised to see me, then we quickly caught up and finished with 'I'll see you around'. I saw him again later in the year as I was getting into a taxi and we both laughed and said 'see you around' again. The next time I heard of him was the news that he passed away. I wasn't aware of what he was doing in HERS, or the success he was having. Recently I decided just to look him up and discovered that actually he played guitar and sung in HERS and like you, found the music was amazing. A sad story and there was no one more deserving from him. There were many talented musicians in our school that year and all of them from what I can see drifted away from music for whatever reason, yet Stephen didn't. It's nice to see his music is being remembered, but I will always remember him as being the only peer I ever met who was technically really exceptional, but truly humble and kind to his bones. A very unique person.

I had the honour and privilege of being friends with Ste from early 2016 when I met him in the city we lived in, Liverpool. He was the nicest person ever, always wanted to know about my life, my interests, my passions. We'd talk for hours about music over the counter at the pizza place he worked at. He loved my obsession for The Beatles, and I loved his of The Beach Boys... a band I'd become so heavily into after his passing. I would go out of my way to see him, to speak to him all because of how nice and genuine he was. He told me a lot about his music, the inspiration behind very specific parts in a song, a certain vocal melody or style, like I said we'd talk for hours about music. I spent more time around Ste than I did Audun, but he was incredible as well. So kind-hearted and fun. I remember one time I was in the pub with a friend and Audun was sat on the other side of the room, he came to join us and we had a drink and a chat. He wouldn't stop saying to us "it's a blood moon tonight, we should go see if we can see it". He said it so many times that we eventually finished our drink and went outside and walked down the road to see the moon, it looked no different to the normal moon, we laughed, had another drink and then went our separate ways. They are two guys who are deeply missed by the music scene within the city of Liverpool.

It’s not often we’re reminded of the mortality of the young artists we love, but when we are, it hits even harder than watching an old seasoned artist go. These two could have had an incredible career touring the world and creating more groundbreaking work. I’d never heard of them until very recently when my sister found their music, but when she told me they’d already passed, I was shocked. I discovered Her’s via KZbin on a random indie playlist. I jammed out to their hits for days before I saw a comment about their passing. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions but I’m glad to have found them late than never. Thank you for creating such an informative, tasteful video. They will live on in our hearts through their music.

It's so tragic after getting to know the warmth of their presence in any space and their kind and charming souls. I find myself crying over this story a lot while listening to the debut album. Beautiful video, thanks for doing it. note: they talk about doing movies together I'm sure they are involved to making progress of their video clips.

All the comments are in English but I’m going to write in Spanish Conocí a Her’s gracias a mi mejor amigo que me comentó que hiciéramos un cover de What Once Was, la escuché y pregunté si seguían tocando y el me comentó que pasaron por un accidente y sin más.

i hardly comment, but i come back to this video so many times. not only to remember the group, but because of how wonderful this video was done. everyone I meet, I introduce them to Her's, just because of how much they impacted me. sadly, I wasn't able to know of them while they were alive, but I'm glad I got to eventually find their music. which now has helped me grow in relationships and in my own journey through life. forever thankful for them.

What a wonderful tribute to these talented boys. My daughter introduced me to their song "What Once was." As I delved deeper into their music on KZbin from reading the comments, I found out the sad news. I would've loved to have seen them live, but that was not to be. Coincidently, we live in AZ, where they tragically died on the 10 fwy. 😢 If only we had discovered them sooner, we could've seen them in Phoenix where they last performed. What a sad ending. Their song now reminds me of my daughter when I here that song. 😢

This made me cry. I still remember to this day how I felt listening to the boys for the first time, and also, how much of a heartache it was to learn about what happened that tragic night. Crazy and so sad to think that this happened to my favorite band of all time. Still, not a day goes by where I don't think about them. I hope they're up there resting easy and having fun in the company of each other. I miss and love them forever. 💐❤

I remember discovering Her’s music a few years ago and I absolutely loved their songs quickly. I always smiled and danced to them and I still do that till this day. I found out that they were gone a while ago and watched their once was video as they played. I remember crying, I knew if they were still here they would’ve become big and very well known! Their songs still make me smile and bring me so much happiness and comfort. I hope in a different lifetime I can see them play their songs and keep going after their passions like nothing happened. RIP Her’s you mean the world to us 🫂💗🌷🌷

This is such a good video, I love the research and effort that went into this! I found out about Her's through a friend and became obsessed with them. I legit had a dog named Harvey who I named after their song. But he sadly also passed away in an accident and I loved him so much. Her's is so important to me now and I'm so happy I found this video in my recommended and could learn more about them

I’m so grateful this video found me. I never saw them live and felt a great sadness when I found out they died so suddenly and tragically. Their music came to me in a time when so much significant change was happening in my life and it was a comfort. I can tell you put so much care into this and it feels like a place for everyone to share what their music meant to them. I loved reading through all the comments and sweet stories. Thank you ♥️

I was lucky to meet them in the studio. Actually the very first interview/music you used in your video was my very first session at this studio. A test-drive that went super well thanks to them being absolutely easy going, caring and patient. In a way, I own them a smooth beginning of my career in London. They were amazing tbh. Their songs makes me very nostalgic now.

I didn’t hear of these amazing musicians until the day after they passed. I listened all day, and was so sad that I haven’t revisited. But now…they cover Minnie Ripperton. They’re obsessed with Twin Peaks. I love them so much; and I will get back to listening and be grateful they gave us this gift of music. Thank you for this video!!

Thank you so so much for doing this. I discovered this band about a year before there tragic accident. They as you say could have gone onto greatness i truly believe. I have worked with Bowie on diamond Dogs, Stones, Zeppelin, bad co and other bands. It destroyed me when i heard of there Van accident and what could have been. The music they left us in there short time is nothing short of Brilliant. xx

I first heard her’s at a live indie radio station, and I had to Shazam that song. It was early 2018 I was still in high school. Me and my friends used to try to find new indie bands and add it to a shared playlist, I was so happy I found another band that made music me and my friends enjoyed, songs like Harvey, marcel… it really set a period In time for us. Finding out they passed in that accident will forever hold a heavy memory in my mind, they marked a period in time in my life and I only hoped they were alive today too see how far there music reached.

Her’s will forever have a special place in my heart. I remember falling in love with Cool with you while out hiking with my best friend at the time back in 2017. We both went on and listen to their entire discography at the time and were obsessed. We were so excited to finally see them live on March 27th at the observatory in Santa Ana. But that day never came, but their music still lives on, loved the tribute you made for Her’s 💐

I just stumbled across this video. Her's were my favorite band back in the day, their music helped me during hard times, then and now, probably always will. Their death really was a shock. They're probably up somewhere there together with my mum and looking down, wondering about this colorful earth and the people inhabiting it. Thank you for everything. Rest in peace guys.
