I do not harm slugs or insects. I think of the many different ways to live with harmony and balance with the environment and the honoring of life and how to behave with respect. I too have given the slugs the delightful decaying of a flower arrangement that has afforded a place to feast and keep my vegetables safe from them as a result. Ants and alot of things hate the oil of mint and fresh mint leaves. Hair is a blessing to use around plants to deter slugs and snails. I have lived with the understanding through personal experience.

@@parry3231 I love this. It’s so respectful. I am going to be starting a garden. Hair? Would you please explain? Thank you
@parry32312 жыл бұрын
@@Angel_HippieCityHealing I have been gardening for 50years and always organically. I had a dog that was a shedding creature, so I mulched the garden with the hair. It was very amazing at keeping the slugs and the snails off of the plants that were surrounded by the hair. I have used hair from barber shops and beauty salons for my mulch too. It is a blessing to have the ability to be able to save my precious plants with a safe and effective solution.

Don't be worried about the slugs. I am in Germany as well and this year, the rainy summer has been particularly terrible for slugs for me in the countryside ( I am in Hessen) as well. They ate EVERYTHING. But honestly, it is not this bad every year. We tend to just gather them every single evening without fail (buckets and buckets of them) and we relocate them away from the Dorf (not kill them) Eventually we have less and less. But yeah, this summer felt really frustrating (we lost our entire salad crop) Your house is beautiful!

I didn't realize I was feeling anxious until I watched your video and started feeling better. Thank you so much for sharing It's totally normal to feel like that after moving. We bought our first house 3 years ago and it took almost a month to feel like it was really our home. Don't rush it. Just settle in, get used to things and then start making it your own :) there's no reason to feel like it all has to be perfect right now. You have a beautiful home to acquaint yourself with ❤️ And lastly, the slugs. I live in a wet area too where slugs are a big pain. Little saucers/bowls of beer attract them. They climb in and drown. My slug problem has diminished this way, but I'm still figuring out how to deter the rabbits. I hope you don't get those too. They burrow under the plants.

When my wife and I moved into our first home together we felt so lucky because the house was warm and welcoming, like it had been waiting for us to arrive. When we moved four years ago into our current house, it felt like a stranger's house, not a home. We soon realized it had been abused and neglected. As we started fixing it up, it was like the house warmed up to us. Now it feels more like home than out first house ever did, because we have put so much of ourselves into it. Your new house is a blank canvas. It is full of possibilities.
@jagibaba3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing this. Something very similar happened to us, with the difference that our house wasn't neglected, quite the opposite, but it was kind of stiff and lacking warmth... After 2 years of feeling like we've perhaps made a mistake or that I was completely useless as a homeowner, it's like it started warming up to us! When I read your reply I felt relief because I was unable to explain this to anyone outside our immediate family - I came across as fussy or not grateful enough, but I swear it wasn't that!

Perhaps if you do your smudge technique that you did in your apartment you will cleanse your new home and make it truly yours. It is very pretty and for an outsider looking in, having watched most of your vlogs, it already feels like you belong there. Make it your own, embrace the novelty of living in a bigger space and remember to breathe. Spread your love in each room....I am certain you will find joy and much happiness here. Peace be with you.
