I have peonies that I planted many years ago and they never flowered. I think in my case it may have been the location. This year we had to take a dangerous tree out and that area of the garden gets more sun and I now have 3 buds!

They are beautiful. I’ve always wanted to grow them but our temps in FL get over 100 degrees and the sun scorches most flowers. How high do your temperatures get?

I’m in zone 7b, with hot humid summers and freezing winters. I have no large trees so all much plants succumbed to the elements. So I’m super excited to see those that survive.

Your peonies are beautiful. I have three that I planted back in 2021 and they haven’t flowered as yet. I’ll be patient.

What I learn is that it takes about 3 years for them to flower, but when they do, oh boy!

Yeah this is Jane from Pennsylvania I have 18 or 30 gardens I've been doing it for about 18 years out there at memorial Park and everybody enjoys them and I've been putting a lot of peonies in and my favorite is the Ito i t o h peonies and they are great you don't have to stake them up they have stronger stems they're bigger flowers they're like like your tree peony but they're they have the same foliage so they don't get the black spot on them and all that so they're just great trying they're beautiful but they're definitely worth it okay talk to you later bye

I love it's but I can't plant good I don't know how and what's kind of soil to plant peony grow up good. I been trying two years now and still small

Hang in there Lekana. My peonies took 3 three to flower. The important thing is to plant the peonies very shallow, in order to bake them in the sun. Space Peonies three to four feet apart to ensure good air circulation. Plant them away from trees or shrubs as peonies don't like to compete for food and moisture.
