Dear Team on this Platform: There was a wonderful scene about Beethoven`s 9th choir rehearsal. Herr von Karajan led the choir ton the true spirit about `Freude`, letting them increase this word at least three times... and then `F-r-o-i-d-e` was present ! I am crying so often, that this wonderful as deeply honest video was taken from `what platform ever... ` I do not remember that. In case, it is possible for you, to catch this momentum somewhere - I would love to see it again. Thank so much for this collection here. Good luck and success !

It's Charpentier's Te Deum. The music is used as a theme by an organization called the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). This organization broadcasts both Eurovision and the Vienna Phil. His image was carefully created. Taken on its own, his music making may not be as great as one thinks, since his image and personality is a huge part of it. Take that away and everything is a bit mushy, with the corners rounded off. He wanted a certain sound- lush and beautiful, but some excitement is lost. There are times when the music calls for ugly sounds or a different atmosphere. That's why his name is bigger than the composers on his album covers!
