I know what you mean. It has something to do with his attitude in treating Jazz as fixed rather than evolving. I loved his thinking back then. I'm sure he could play like this if he wanted to but his head isn't there.

This was when EVERYONE KNEW he was a 'child of Miles,' but yet HIS EGO and HIS DISTINCTIVE WAY OF BEING AN ASSHOLE, has fuddled his style. He HAS NOT contributed ANYTHING to the lexicon of Jazz Music...he just plays well. FOR SOME PEOPLE...being the best Trumpeter IN THE WORLD....IT WONT SAVE HIS SAD ASS. FUCK him.
