​I don't think wig hinders hair growth. For me, I stopped going to the saloon, it's almost 6 months and I'm seeing progress, but I use wigs. Wigs help me manipulate my hair less because I go to work even on Sundays. I also avoid cornrows, they are not good for my hair, makes my hair break a lot. I'm 4 years natural, but I've use extensions only twice in these 4 years. Now I avoid extensions completely, follow her teachings and then wigssssss. But I use a wig cap first.
