Aww. I have a black dog called Herbie, with an almost identical face to Herby. This poor darling. The pain he's suffered must be off the charts. Poor, poor darling. Yet so nice. What an amazing little fella, and amasing rescuers.

He's amazing!!!! If you put a d-ring on the front of his wheel chair, you could then clip a leash to it.... And dogs with medical issues are just as important and awesome as dogs without!!!!

He has such an expressive beautiful face...and voice now. It's a damn shame those spinal injuries were left untreated by whomever had him, and I can't imagine the pain of not being able to escape while being burned. He's been a brave boy but I have mixed feelings on quality of life for these sad cases. I'm conflicted about whether we inflict our human standards and desire to save them all at any cost, but the animal pays the price. He can't do all things that make a dog happy - walk/run - sniff butts - mark every tree - charm the ladies. But hey let's see, if he can regain some strength and coordination in those rear legs so he could have some independence to scoot about, he looks young so it's worth trying for such a lovely dog. But if he's going to have to lie prone for the rest of his natural life with no real limb function then there are difficult but ultimately kinder choices to make. I do love and admire the work this group does, the fantastic people and thank everyone for their hard work love and care. Fingers crossed things get even better. Good luck.
