I love Hope for Paws, and I always click the "like button" before I even watch your video because until today, have never seen a poor rescue. Blondie seemed to be a friendly low-key dog, but the women rescuer just went too fast, didn't give the dog a chance to relax and start to trust her....yes, she was rescued, but it could have gone in alot less stressful way for Blondie. I've done all-breed dog rescue and this is just my opinion of this rescue...usually, you are wonderful, soon as I see your groups name, I know it will turn out best way possible for the dog (s). Eldhad, you are the best ...thanks for all the hard work you and your group do.

I'm sorry, and mean no disrespect, but we have no "Creator" apart from our parents, whichever religion you follow, your god(s) watch this ill treatment and apparently do nothing to stop the pain and suffering of innocent animals, and does nothing, although god is supposed to be all powerful. If you are disturbed by this, you should watch "Earthlings". I couldn't get past the first 3 minutes without sobbing hysterically. KZbin has videos of people reacting to seeing it. The horrors humans put animals through are unbelievable. As a long time animal rights activist, I know the information. The dachshund that I adopted was almost in the same situation as this dog. Her owners no longer wanted her, but thankfully instead of being dumped on the streets or a dog shelter (the only shelter in our area puts down the senior dogs within a couple days to weeks). She was left with a neighboring family that we knew and when they left her there they said they were gonna come back for her. She was at my friend's family's house for 9 months and when they couldn't take care of her anymore they just gave her to me. She has been with me since.

Here's why. Because a lot of people adopt a dog with the understanding that it is similar to a human baby. It is not at all. It takes hard work and discipline to socialize AN ANIMAL. But people who think dogs are the same as babies are the ones most likely to bail on an animal when it becomes clear that socialization progress will not happen overnight.

Fawn Hughes I was the one who called them about this dog, and the most of the story that I was able to get from her previous owners was that they had a golden retriever (dad) and a husky (mom) who had the mixed kids (Blondie and her sister). The siblings never got used to the owners, and only their mom was able to get them into their yard since their gate was always opened and these dogs liked to roam the streets. The dad got hit by a car and died, then a while after that the mom got hit too. They never saw their sister again, and Blondie was the one we were feeding. Since they walked so close to a busier street, my best guess is that she was picked up by someone, wandered too far, or was also hit by another car since I walk this street almost everyday and I haven't seen any other dogs resembling Blondie or her mom. It's unfortunate, but at least Blondie is okay now since the empty lot is now being built on. And worse now is that those owners have more dogs now. Their explanation for her being so skittish is that they've gotten robbed so many times, and the people robbing their house had beat up Blondie and her family before they died, but I don't believe them at all.

It should be reported to someone probably animal control. They should not be allowed to have any more dogs. Two were hit by cars due to THEIR negligence and lack of concern for the dogs. The sister was probably killed in the same manner and this one would have in time. There is NO EXCUSE for their negligence!! So now they have new dogs and when they get tired of them, I guess they will be on the streets, too. Disgusting people. They should seriously be reported. For all you know, they beat the dogs up on a day to day basis. I would contact animal control.
