Khanyisa takes the morning walk lead again!

Another successful day of integration with Khanyisa and the Jabulani Herd, her new family.
Little braveheart Khanyisa took charge again in the morning walk, with Timisa hot on her trails. Someone's confidence in her place in the herd is beginning to shine!
Timisa continues to take a keen interest in Khanyisa, but the two most involved cows overall seem to be Bubi and Kumbura lately. Bubi did not get that much time with Khanyisa during this walk as she is very humble in her approach. Lundi appears to be taking a further step back with each day that passes but never takes her eye off Khanyisa; she is incredibly protective over her.
Two of the older bulls, Fishan and Somopane, spent quite a lot of time around the females during this walk, which was lovely to see.
Our favourite moment has to be as she took Owen's stick from him to play with, and Timisa came to give her some loving, it was so sweet!
Khanyisa is feeding mostly on raisin bush and grass during her walks, her two most favoured choices of bush-snacks:)

Look at her confidence! I'm floored at how well both humans and the herd have provided this baby with what she needs to be successful in her young life. Surrounded by loving trunks and low soothing rumbles, Khanyisa is accepted and loved by all. The curiosity and fun this baby gives the herd is like a breath of fresh air. Lundi knows she is right where she belongs as the other cows adore her. I can't wait for the next video. Love can heal a broken soul. Jabulani herd will ALWAYS have a special place in my ❤

A few things struck me watching this delightful walk; a few months back, Khanyisa needed protection from the sun using a large umbrella. Now she has the protection from her family - lots of shade there!; how totally at ease and confident she has become; that loving moment between Khanyisa and Timisa and her amazing trunk skills. She likes sticks doesn't she? 😊👍. I guess when I watch it again I'll notice more. Thank you Adine for letting us watch these Precious moments! 🙏🙏🙏

These beautiful creatures just want to enjoy the sunrise and walk and go forage and go to their pond and bathe. They are so peaceful and happy. Im just glad they don't have to be at risk of poachers.God bless the staff and the elephants.

They let her take the lead because they know she needs to feel important, foregoing their own need or instinct to take the lead. That is why this Jubulani herd is so special..they know the mission that you are on..the HERD carers, and they are in perfect symphony with you.
