When Lundi trumpeted they all suddenly went from playing and being spread out, to clustering around the babies and standing very still. They are so beautiful and protective. ❤ Nothing makes me happier than seeing Bubi's playful side coming out and watching her enjoy herself 💕

I love how they all show their protectiveness here, especially Pisa. She seems to keep pushing Timi back when she tried to join the adults at the bank as if telling her to stay within the huddle. Pisa seems to only show her affectionate side to either Timi or Zindoga, other than her mother and sister. They seem to really be in distress when Lundi trumpeted. Even Jabulani was streaming from his temples and Zindoga was urinating. And Lady Bubi is being energetic in the water today. Thank you, Owen, for bringing us along. These Elephants are so in tuned to a trumpeting distress call & reading each other’s body language, I find it absolutely phenomenal how they know exactly what’s up. They move right in to make sure Lundi is protected & have her back. In their own language, it’s like they’re saying to her, “ You alright there Miss Lundi? We’re right here for you.” Couple minutes later. . . “Now that everything seems a little bit calmer, you ok with us continuing our swim time? You know those Carers are gonna be kicking us out soon enough.” Excellent camera work Mr. Owen. ❤

Look how our Meisiekind is unphased by the outburst and only wants to continue swimming. It's awesome to see how Khanyisa has ingratiated herself with every member of the HERD, with her big sister Sweet and Beautiful Timisa being her favorite. Lundi is a true leader along with Tokwe. They are a real dream team in protecting all of the members of the HERD. Look at Bubi giving Sebakwe a run for his money. Thank you, Owen!
