What blesses me about this song is that it's not a hymn of triumph, but a song written from the "valley" about being there, walking through it, confessing and crying out for the Lord to come and meet me there. I noticed it doesn't say get me out of here, I just says meet me here again... Not for a minute was I forsaken... even in the valley I can sing "the Lord is in this place" and from there I cry out "come Holy Spirit; dry bones awaken..." I know songs take on a "life of their own" once they are released to the public and each person hears it from a different angle, so, to me hearing it this way makes me feel hopeful and strengthens my faith and trust in Jesus. However long the journey through the valley is, I will not be forsaken for the Lord is here.

For over 5 years, I left God’s hand, didn’t go to church or reach out to Him. Till I lost everything - job, money. Slowly lost friends (the wrong ones). But the ones who mattered stayed. One of them helped me find a good church and the first song they sang was this. And I couldn’t stop crying. And as I was singing “Will you meet me here again Lord” He tells me He was always with me. He was just waiting for me to reach out to Him “Not for a minute was I forsaken” I’m so grateful to God for a renewed life. I’m never letting go of you Jesus!

akshaya It took me 10 years actually , God sent me new friends and a new church to attend to . Those ten years was hard of being a Christian . I almost backslide to the point of full depression , I almost gave up in life . But when I listen to Elevation Worship songs and started following Pastor Steven Furtick’s preaching it felt like God reached me . As I listen to this song and as I read your testimony I felt the same thing . I lose friends(probably the wrong ones) . God added new friends to my life (Christian believers and fellow church mates ) and as I play this song , I always remember his goodness and amazing grace towards my life . as said in the lyrics “In my weakness YOUR☝🏻 Glory appears “ I’m not enough , unless you come Will you meet me here again . Cause all I want , is all you are will you meet me here again. Never will he forsake us , never will he leave us . And as we continue this new life Christ gave us , let us continue to the same for other unbelievers to bring them closer to God . Right now I have my small group in Church . I’ve been volunteering as an USHER and a Back-up singer in our church . And I couldn’t be more thankful to Him ☝🏻 This was all because of his amazing love and grace . And as of now , today and forward I will always bless the name of the Lord and give him all the glory . Thank You Lord Jesus
