I've also been shy since childhood. A shy man can approach...not pursue. However, don't miss the mark. INFJ here... It can be exhausting pursuing the wrong woman. A woman worth pursuing is seen to be an asset...a wife... nurturing. Just watch the movie Good Deeds. Pursuit could simply be in the form of a man serving concerning your best interest. He desires to cover you even from a distance. The constant initiation and social dance leads to constant thoughts of the woman, which leads to intrigue and then the pursuit. Having such a hard line about men despite having a shy friend will have a woman missing the mark. It's not about confidence. It's about anointing. Men don't always know who to pursue. Some men are more confident in the space of anointing and mission. However, almost clueless when it comes to who to pursue. Give a man a reason to remember your name.

I am also an INFJ, one of the rarest Meyers Briggs types. I just believe and have seen it in action that ANY MBTI type will make things happen with the person they believe is their "dream mate". And yes, women today need to learn what true pursuit looks like. It's not super flashy and expensive at all.
