You are so right. The costs of blindly eagerly entering dating are so costly especially in the long run. 3 mess ups can lead to 3 baby daddies and men you meet in the future a lot will give you a hard time about it cause of the eagerness in your past to feel connected or the urge to have kids by any man. You get the permanent love of your kids while at the same time making your dating future so much harder. It’s a damn if you do damn if you don’t kind of situation.

There are married men and men in relationships that go to clubs, speed dating, and other single events. Women have been meeting the wrong men long before dating apps were invented. However, I do agree with you that dating apps can be a source of laziness, yet women have been meeting busy men like doctors on dating apps for that reason. And there's more women than men going to most of these social events, so there will be more competition on women. Yet, dating apps have more men which means less competition for women.
