2012 XC60, I installed everything however Volvo said they couldn’t do the download because the vehicle didn’t have it installed from the factory and wouldn’t work. However I the DVD player and replaced it with the DVD /NAV unit and all the wiring was their and I hooked it all up. The only thing I didn’t have was the NAV button on the center stack.

I have 2012 v70 no nav button so this means the button panel would need to be changed

@@kanakas12 hello, I purchased a upgraded back up camera for my 2015 XC60, that has the same CD player. I had to install a electronic board inside the 7” display. It worked good for couple of moths and now it works randomly. I purchased it form AliExpress too. What model did you used? Thank for your advise.

Not suprised thing stop working the way he bashes things about what a very slap dash worker Volvo want accept parts that have not been removed at authorised volvo dealers otherwise how do te know you not damaged it in your very poor work methods you did not even remove the center console correctly as per volvo standards

SphericalPretzel take out the CD and look at those 2 cable in the back. If you have those your car is prepared and if not your car is not then I suggest you to buy a aftermarket original car navi on ebay and it will look just as the same as original but it is more easier to install then original.

You do not have to take your car apart the vin numbet will tell you if you have the wires there essentially any face lift car will have all the connectors there. If your car is a 2013 model year they will have the new universal wiring loom

Is this only true with XC90 or all Volvo? I have a 2013 S60 w/7" screen but only the IAM2.1 Level 1 Cd player.
