So, I have looked into this option and there are a couple directions to go if anyone wants to tackle this themselves. 1. Buy a used transfer case, driveshafts, front diff, axles shafts and knuckles with bearings from a used Titan XD. Pull the rear axles shafts form the rear diff and replace with XD shafts. Re-rear rear diff while your in there. Might need a custom length drive shaft in the rear. Front should line up. 2. Do most of #1 except update front hubs to a 2006 GMC 2500HD. Machine your knuckles .8 mm in diameter. but 33 spline output shaft to 6 bolt inner axle plates to go into the titan XD front diff and mate that to 2500 HD half shafts. The GMC bearing do not have the same set back so you will need spacers, about 5/8". I think 1/2" is enough and easily available.

I don’t understand Nissan because they build great value vehicles they do some incredible work they stick there toe into a certain area then they pull it back then act scared. Nissan go all in this van could easily have a diesel option and a longer wheel base version as well. The titan is a perfect testimony to what I am talking about back in 08-09 Nissan put on there big pants and beat Toyota to market with a crew cab with a long bed. Also I need to remind you when the first gen titan was introduced it shocked the truck segment. Ford Gm and Ram was really afraid. Toyota was in the back with their tundra crying. The new generation titan has so much more potential than what Nissan is doing. I have a Nissan Frontier and it’s going strong Nissan Corp. If you get a chance to read this please please take the time to listen to your customers take the time you have so much more potential.

because its about corporate executive obscene salaries and stock price, which requires them to build the crappiest possible vehicle that passes regulation and can foist on captive consumer, at the highest price and sell criminal loans, imho

Nissan has been asleep at the wheel for the past 10 years. The latest Titan was phoned in and is getting killed by the competition, the 370z hasn't been updated in forever, same with the GTR. The Altima and Maxima have blurred into the same car almost and Nissan still struggles with the reputation their transmissions have given them. It's sad.

Thomas Bloomer lol, even the newer tundra is miles better than crap Nissan.
@hugeCRSfan694 жыл бұрын
I hear everything youre saying but lets be honest the titan doesn't sell worth sh*t cause they dont advertise or market it correctly. Same with the nv although it sells more than the titan...they are shooting themselves in the foot by not offering different configurations and wheelbases or a diesel engine like the sprinter and transit. Even the promaster has a decent amount if configurations and 3 wheelbases..just doesn't offer awd or 4x4

Hi Nathan. When you’re using the word schmutz it sounds like you mean “stuff” but the german verb schmutzig means dirty or grimy. lt’s also a yiddish expression like “Change your shirt it has some schmutz on it”. I’m a subscriber to all the TFL channels and enjoy the work you and the other guys do. I’m not trying to be a Putz but just wanted to point this out. Does that roof top tent sleep 8? I don't think so. Thus, the arrangement shown makes little sense. But, the good news with vans is, that if you start with a cargo, the options are basically endless. It's always good to see more 4x4 van options, but any option that involves buying a van, and tearing out a bunch of parts you just paid for, usually does not result in a great value. It would have been nice if the NV had a Titan front end from the factory, right from their introduction, many years ago.

The NV 3500 has 8 bolts hubs. The Titan XD has 6. Are they running 6 bolts hubs now? Or will the NV hub accept a XD axle shaft? This conversion seems straight forward except for this one little issue. I think they run 8 bolt hubs but how?
@cndgb2333 жыл бұрын
The front end and transfer case is from a Titan XD not the regular Titan, the van front is still 8 bolt after conversion. I am in Canada and bought a used passenger one up here and had Tim Dahle Nissan Southtowne in Utah do the conversion. For mine I also got the Titan XD Pro4X wheels and the 9 speed out of the Titan as it was a used van. They won't do it on a new one, something to do with maintaining the Nissan powertrain warranty. They did great work. Love the van will never get rid of this thing. Mine was not anywhere close to that price final price was under $40K including the price of the van.

If this Van was a LWB 6x6 high roof,wide track long travel, monster with a cummins V8.. and a reasonable price tag. Could have been a winner and a trend setter. Throw in a LWB 6x6 or 4x4 diesel chassis cab then everybody will be talking about how progressive the Brand is. The Next Gen Titan should follow the Direction of the titan warrior concept. But as usual nissan are too busy counting Beans.
