Now Darius, I’ve been a supporter of yours for a long time now. I’m from Alabama (born and raised). They promptly greeted you and were ready to serve you but you were on the phone. You’re in a restaurant not an office space. Yes, customer service could’ve been handled differently but you played your part as well. Why stand in the front of a place of business to conduct a call? Did you except them to anticipate the moment you finished the conversation? The signage on the door forewarned you there would be a wait. That restaurant has been a pillar in the Huntsville community for at least 20 years. I feel like bc things got off to a bad start it was over for them (in your eyes) before things ever began. I will continue to support G’s, Sacs and B Mae’s. #RocketCityBaby💕

Where's the rude ? The dude in the back arguing with him about the time so instead of Darius acting just as big of fool as dude did he simply excused his self & left. Dude in the back let Pride rise up & he showed his ass. The lady on register confirmed the time when Darius ordered his food. Simply walking out was the respectful thing to do without going back & fourth.

Is it just me, or is he rude? G’s is a staple in Huntsville. Its been there forever and its like a laid back family spot. No bells, whistles…just good food. They keep business and have been opened in that same spot FOREVER. They are always nice in there and the food is always great.

He was very rude. Even when she asked about the onion and tomatoes. It’s a southern thing that he obviously doesn’t. understand. Older ppl love cutting fresh onions and tomatoes on top of their greens and vegetables

I don’t like how he handles things. It seemed like he was already irritated at the fact he was on a phone call which he probably should’ve taken and finished outside instead of standing in the middle of the restaurant with a camera man. So when she came over and said I will get you drinks first, now he wants to start with the food order first. What’s the difference? As a Capricorn I have had people tell me I can have a rude demeanor so that’s exactly why I can read his energy. Well sorry Darius they matched yours this time.

I eat there all the time and the food is great. This business has been in the city for a long time and stays packed. His visit didn't affect the crowd at all. If hes going to pop up and pop off, then he should avoid the black owned restaurants in Huntsville. We love our restaurants and don't need his input.

I do and I bake my mac & cheese and I’ve been too many restaurants that baked their mac & cheese in Alabama .so don’t lie about something You don’t know about and you had an attitude after you got off the phone so that server caught your attitude learn how to be nice to people stop being so damn arrogant . nobody owes you anything your attitude stinks. Wow... Customer Service was HORRIBLE. I don't think Darius was wrong for what he said. He wasn't disrespectful at all& only asked a simple question. Not sure why our plp sometimes get down right ridiculous for absolutely no reason. The only response his question required was an apology goodness & get the staff in the back moving. I'm sure they not cooking everything at time of service meats maybe but them sides I highly doubt because its hard to cook collards on spot it takes that pot liquor a good minute to catch up to all the seasonings & side meats to flavor the pop liquor. The man talking in the back pissed me off I would've left to. That Pride got bruised so he gone jump out of pocket to argue him back on the time. Darius was respectful that lady seen him on the phone...SMH... Thats the big reason why the black dollar ain't bout sh×t now because some of us won't move outta our owe way. They wouldn't have sh×t if customers didn't patronize there business....

Real talk, when I want great customer service I go to chick-fi-a, soul food restaurants usually are slow. I've eaten at this place several times and the food is always on point. Yes the customer service needs adjustments but really no different from any other restaurant. Darius came in on some bullshit and never recovered, he couldn't let go of his diva spirit. Like they told him they have a nice size sign saying that they're not fast food.

Im from Alabama and currently live in Huntsville. I have been to G's with a group from work. We didn't wait an hour for food. I wasn't very impressed with the food. The Mac & Cheese was a little dry. Greens were good, the dessert wasn't good at all. I had the banana pudding, and it tasted like it wasn't made home made. I do agree they made him wait longer because he was on the phone.

😂😂 right. My 12 year old just started eating eggs by themselves​ this year. He never liked the texture but my husband made burgers one day and put an egg on it and he tore it up. I may be in the minority here, but I agree with his G’s rating. Honestly I have been in Huntsville for a while and I feel the same way. Customer service was so so. However, I will say there attitudes were not horrible. Every time I went the wait was long no matter how many customers were present. That’s a given considering it’s not fast food, but it was excessively long. The food was bland. I’m from west Alabama so I’m aware there are differences in cooking styles. There are a few other places he could have tried like Bette Mayes, Saks, and S&V.
