I totally agree with this review, I purchased one 3 weeks ago for my wife and after a 70 mile trip my back was killing me to the point I couldn't function for a few days. I have had back surgery in the past and the pain I was feeling was close to the way I felt post op. If I could change one thing about this car its to make the seat more comfortable and do a better job with the fit and finish of the body and paint. At $80k after the upgrades you expect more quality than what you get. That being said I purchased it for my wife so she wouldn't have to ever stop for gas when visiting the grandkids and from what I've read brake downs other that flat tires are rare.

That glitch where the screen goes black, that's a known issue with the flash memory chip having too many read/writes and needs to be replaced. At some point it will brick the entire car, so sooner rather than later to have that chip replaced (from what I've seen/read). It logs all the details for the car and like all flash memory has a finite number of read/writes before it goes wonky.

@redbaron68056 жыл бұрын
V - That is such a load of horseshit. There is not "plenty of stories of Tesla owners being completely denied service". The only owners that have been denied service are people who rebuilt totaled Tesla's and refused to have Tesla make sure that car was safe to drive and operate. "rendering the car useless since you can't even charge it anywhere but at home at that point either.." That may be one of the most ignorant statements ever made on here. Not only does every single L2 charger still work for it, but any fast charger with a Chademo connector can be used to charge a Model S or X with a simple adapter. And pretty much every single fast charging station in the country has both CCS and Chademo today. So, that statement is literally completely false.

In all fairness, most of the door handle issues on early Tesla's was they lost the touch sensitivity, not that the door handle or the motor failed. That present when touched function was controlled by a micro switch which apparently had early failure rates. The micro switch is only a few bucks, and can easily be replaced by any competent mechanic, especially with a mechanic like the Wizard he uses to work on his cars.

Now that Teslas are getting more popular and costs are going to start going down due to economics of scale I am somewhat interested in looking at them, although I would want a Model X for the AWD to go skiing with. I’m curious to see how you handle the seat issue, Tyler...color me intrigued. Hope the whip works well for you!

Why would you support that dude? Shaming tesla publicly for not fixing his car, that is basically 2 different model s glued together. No car company in the world would fix his car. And his viewers eat it up. Pathetic dude.
@stevejenks88926 жыл бұрын
@@Batvolle well actually they could sell him some parts. He's not asking for freebies from Tesla, he just wants the car to be supported and to be able to buy parts. That is not unreasonable
@aaronyoung69376 жыл бұрын
@@Batvolle no Tesla is pathetic when it comes to anyone fixing their on car. I'm so glad Audi is entertaining the ev segment because I would never buy a Tesla. Their just like apple with all the in house bs and scams they run on their consumers

One interesting thing the Prius's do (even my old 2012) is to do that cooling the cabin thing, but by means of the solar panel on the roof. But does it charge the battery? NO darn it. Cool car.

Not just a Car exactly because he’ll be stupid, not look into the service history or anything important on them, he’ll just get the cheapest one and realise the SMG gearbox needs a $10k repair... unless he gets the manual M5

Riley Hughes I had no clue what one of them was as I’m from the U.K. until I realised it’s just a rebadged Suzuki Swift. They’re such beautiful cars aren’t they.

Gotta get the updated front bumper from Unplugged performance! Makes the first gen model S look so much better. And we'd get to see the car wizard in action.

Can you provide a link for the wireless mic that you use in this video. It looks pretty small and the sound quality is pretty good.

Hey hoovie you should take a trip doing only 45-50 mph to see how far you can go, on my Chevy volt at 50 mph I get 20% more electric miles then Chevy estimates.

J.P. Ignelzi please for gods sake don't do that, tesla does not deserve to be in business and it's surprising they still are Questionable build quality panels being sent by the mfg to machine shops off the production line and their financial future does not look good. I could understand with previous companies such as say Delorean given, as even big companies quality wasn't great and it was 1980. Also their ability to disable features at will, check out ones that were re inspected by their respective states to come off salvage. They monitor virtually all functions as mentioned. Transport from makers such as tucker and Delorean where the government was all over funding finances quality etc. Now it's 2018 and they're "green" so these things get glanced over, nothing to see here look at all the nifty gadgets.

I was wondering how much the battery will cost when their done? My 2007 camry hybrid with 150k miles was parked for a week and the hybrid battery is toast, looks like they last only 10-11yrs... luckily it's only 1.8k to replace the battery. Wonder if Tesla's battery will last for a long time..
