@@wykettou Was strange logging in and seeing 1/3 of my scrren being only black screen. I didn't say too much about it cause it looked like a bug and people for sure noticed it and it will be fixed......yeah....the moment I read the comment that it was intentially and the, excuse me for saying that, dumb reasoning behind it, I stopped playing. After the nerf changes were found and confirmed to be intentional? I deinstalled PoE and changed my positive review on Steam into a negative one

I feel like you ending the previous video by blaming reddit toxicity for the fact that GGG lied by omission was you failing a vibe check. I'm not saying reddit isn't toxic and makes them communicate less, but that's such a dogshit excuse for not putting the biggest change ever to PoE in the patchnotes that you ending your video with that had me thinking: "ziz is usually so good at the streamer thing of having the least controversial opinion ever to the point where you doubt them having that actual opinion, but this time he failed really hard. The video PERFECTLY captured every single thought I had about this league. From the mechanics, to drops, to progression to how it feels like it should be a thing for hard mode, and we should instead strive for stuff like 3.18 instead, to the good QoL we got. Nothing was missed. Thank you, Ziz. I'm unable to have my own voice heard and it's very upsetting and demoralizing, but I felt that this video was the same as me saying those things, so im happy to hear all those concerns being voiced by you. I hope your own stress improves and we can all just continue enjoying the game. Sadly, i'm still unable to die less than you do, but one can dream.

Problem with calling this a good case for hard mode, is that the ppl who wanted hard mode wouldn't want to play it. They're all trashing this league, so if it was hard mode they would opt out, despite what they've said previously. Biggest question then though is does hard mode economy mix with regular trade league?

how was 3.18 something to strive for? Did you not play at league launch? The experienec with archnemesis was dogshit. It was emergency patched 4 times in less than a week. And it was still shit. But by that time most players already had the gear and levels to outscale the mobs so people stoped complaining cause they weren't fighting those mobs in their day 1-3 setup anymore.

@@iron-clad9736 Just compare the rewards of harvest vs essences (which are a reforge with a Garanteed mod, which is now almost the equivalent of the harvest reforge). Without investment, you can get a couple essences when it triggers. With investment, you get what? 30 essences of high tier/mid tier in a single map. I don't think this is the case for harvest. Plus the harvest will most likely low roll. For example a reforge chaos will not always get you that T1/T2 that you need to be useful.

I LOVED 3.17 and 3.18, but to be fair, many people Loved 3.13 and started to have problems in 3.14. So I can imagine why they are saying GGG makes the game worse every patch. They have been making the game harder and harder, with less crafting options, so why they felt the need to nuke the drop rates so much (while NOT nerfing blight and expedition loot!) is beyond me. I really think they messed up, and that the current game is not what they wanted.

Archnemesis should be a map mod which can roll, a modifier you can select on the map device, a scarab and something you can skill in the Atlas passive tree. ALSO something you can turn off on that tree. Therefore it would become opt-in for the juiciest of builds.

Archnemesis is still badly implemented with older mechanics, especially the ones that require dps check like legion, the balance patch that preceded the league was disappointing, the league mechanic feels like is still in beta and it's not worth engaging, the crafting is compromised, the juicing is compromised, and overall I feel like there is no reward for engaging in harder content that isn't gated behind some grossly punishing rng. 99% of what's good in this league comes from older patches.

the worst about Archnemesis for me, is still that there is no entry on the ingame help that simply tells me what those names mean. its great that they felt that the stacking of subtitles under creep-names was too much... but how does it help if it doesn't tell you what they mean?

I feel like the problem with GGG is that they feel like something is OP and then nerf it multiple times over, when usually just nerfing it from one direction would be sufficient. Like they should nerf scourge currency by either making it very rare, OR by nerfing the odds of the currency giving a positive result.

Nerfing the outcome is retarded at best because its not like normal fusing orbs that you can go from 0 links to a 6 link in a single fusing, with tainted ones you gotta climb so if you didnt get lucky in yout 5 to 6 link the item is dead basically because you will not 6 link it after ONE single failed attempt. It should be a very rare drop with a 50/50 outcome, it doesn't work any other way.

Scourge currency honestly didn't need a nerf at all. Being able to very slowly alter a corrupted item since the currency is naturally much much more rare than normal currency. Isn't op or a problem..

Honestly, my primary complaint and the thing that has been killing my fun the MOST so far is the disparity in difficulty of monsters. I league-started Spark and killed A10 Kitava in about 60-90 seconds. Every t1 map boss dies in 5-10 seconds. But Harvest rares, Essence monsters, Blight mobs, and more literally feel unkillable half the time. Its incredibly demotivating and frustrating to feel like you have to map on a bossing character if you actually want to kill all the mobs. Zoom zoom mapping characters just feel dead.

People feel like the game has gotten worse and worse every league because league after league they have pushed player power out of ascendencies, passives, and gems. This creates a lot more pressure to have a really solid build and ultimately requires much better items to power said build. The changes don't affect all players the same however which is why you get the confusion. Respectfully, Zizaran is the type of player that is least affected by these types of changes. The ones hit hardest are the average players who happen to also be the majority of the player base and so we see a lot more unhappiness expressed with the direction of the game the past several leagues.

It seems like the layers of RNG on top of RNG that GGG have been talking about for years have finally come back to haunt them. The massive discrepancies this causes in drops has always been offset by the insane amount of drops we have gotten. Once you reduce that, the whole system breaks apart and turns into literal lottery odds of getting anything worthwhile in a reasonable amount of time. There are two ways to go from here. The first is to just revert to lootsplosions of ages past. The second is to entirely scrap that loot system and put in place a weighted system of some sort. There has to come a point where they realize that tinkering with systems as complex as they have made will result in massive unintended consequences, as has happened now.

My biggest issue with harvest changes and essence being so difficult is that as a casual player who hasn't even actually killed any of the pinnacle bosses is that those were how you could get decent items, but with it looking like they are trying to push more towards the old crafting system, currency spam, is really not easy to do as a casual player who doesn't have metric tons of currency. Also as a minion player this league kinda sucked

They removed it and said when you clicked too far out, you didn't move. Now on full-screen you have the black bars and can't confine your mouse to the 21x9. That means if you have a screen bigger than 21x9 and click accidentally on the black bars, you don't move and die. Until that is handled, I'm sadly out of this game.

I think GGG have always seemed a bit "disorganised" but that really seems to be coming to the front in this patch. The buff then nerf to lightning conduit in the same day, the archnem mods interacting really badly with other league mechanics (something that was a problem last league as well), not telling people about major changes to loot. It's pointless to speculate on why it might be happening, but it does kind of feel to me like things are getting away from them a bit.

Pretty simple explanation Main lead developers are focusing more on PoE2 and exilecon and letting the current league be more of a side project. Less leadership presence = game direction loses focus. Like they just announced exilecon, what are they going to even do at exilecon? Announce PoE3? There needs to be a fuck ton of content to justify it which is why the past 3 leagues have all been barebones. Which means hopefully we have a lot of content to look forward to, but it’s probably worth giving PoE a break for a few leagues until then. And maybe PoE never improves and keeps going downhill, well we don’t miss out on anything if we jump ship now

With Archnemesis a vast majority are still not worth spending the time to kill. The few that are like Kitava touched are loot pinatas, but in 250 maps I’ve found only 2-3 Archnemesis that dropped nice loot when killed.

Just wanted to say that I always appreciate your fair and balanced takes to league drama. I always feel like if I want to process my thoughts on a league and kind of break away from the toxic doomerism elsewhere I can rely on your league breakdowns for that. We as a community need to stop drawing picket lines with like, this streamer is a GGG ally and this one's on *our* side. It's really dumb. Everyone just wants to help make the game better. EDIT: Also, I think this could be one of the better leagues, since the changes are in theory really good, they just need to fix the obvious massive issues.

The spell suppression part you discussed rings very true to me. I saw the notes / manifesto and was really confused since instead of fixing the underlying issue (spell suppression seemingly being way too powerful and spell dmg almost being balanced around it) they just made it harder to get on left side builds. They should just bring it down to like 30% or a number in that range and then nerf enemy spell damage across the board. That way not every build has to get suppression maxed anymore. Hell for all I care they might as well remove it ... it was an interesting idea, but just straight up flat reduction needed by nearly every build isn't particularly interesting.

Ehhh the problem with GGG's approach to player defense is that they give you all these options but none of them is good enough so they want you to stack it... and when you stack armor, evasion and spell suppression you find out that while you might be harder to kill, you're also playing zDPS build. They WANT you to die no matter the investment hence why for years people were coming down to conclusion that it's more beneficial to scale dmg and kill shit before it hits you than to invest in defenses. For fuck sake, when they introduced Spell Suppression, they nerfed the living shit out of Block and pretty much deleted Acro/Phase Acro argumenting that it's too powerful and feels mandatory to pick up... DUH how about having invested in ONE defense type actually is efficient and valid strategy?

Make archnemesis into a map modifier like "map contains arch nemesis", so that it could be rolled onto maps, or randomly be achieved by alch'n'go strats. You would have it more controlled, for those that want to run these modifiers, or it can be removed for those, that do not want to go with those. It could also be a sextant mod instead, so that you could enable archnemesis on all maps within 4 charges or something.

How you feel about Arch-Nemesis and Sentinel is how alot of people felt about Ritual and Ultimatum, even expedition. Were just very divided on what people classified as "Good" or "Bad" leagues, for me I Arch-Nemesis "League" was decent, but I enjoyed myself 10x more in Ritual as a league, Ritual I got burned out on doing but the league itself I played for nearly 2 months. Where as Arch-Nemesis I found boring after 3 weeks and had no desire to push. Even with the reworks to endgame. Sentinel I felt was even worse and I lasted about 2-3 weeks but just fizzled out, boring mechanic, didn't really enjoy making builds that time around. And to be fair I could have just been burned out in general, but I just didn't enjoy it from a league mechanic, changes made, builds, etc. Scourge Just didn't like the backtracking or going to the end of the map and running backwards to then be ported back to the exit and leave. And scourge didnt get good reward wise until the changes which is the same state were in right now. Where Ritual, I was excited to see what I was going to get in the next shop to try to get. I look at Ritual and Ultimatum as "Arena Style" and I actually do enjoy those styles more then these other mechanics. Now were at Lake of Kalandra, played the weekend, and im done. Until changes get made to the drops, league mechanics, I'm not having fun investing my time for almost little to no reward, and I'm sick of GGG Balancing around trade league and not the player. I'm just over it. I say this because they keep nerfing boss drop chances, keep nerfing or reducing drop rates (and no my loot filter is pretty semi strict and still is on that setting). Nothing wrong with your opinion or mine we just like different things and thats ok. But whats murdering the recent leagues for me? Is the Arch-nemesis changes, and the constant changes in a direction I don't really agree with, which is flowing into the leagues which makes it feel horrible to me. The league is being punished by these horrible philosophy changes. Now to be fair Harvest this season was a really good idea, but the balance is so far gone and not balanced at all to what we had crafting wise that....it's horrible, and their response doesnt make it feel like thats going to change much. 0-2 crafts vs the 4-8 we had and 12-24 during ritual, is just bad. It's an unusable mechanic.

I did Kalandra 4 times, saw no drops and immediately stopped playing lol. I already knew something was wrong. I didn't want my leveling experience to be ruined. I actually like going through the acts. This is like the Mirror of Kalandra story/league, one of the most op/rarest items in the game and their not doing it justice by doing what they did. I feel like its a very important league because it's Kalandra we're talking about. If a mirror dropped for you, you would immediately jump off your seat like holy hell!, I finally got it this league. An exalted orb would pale in comparison to it. Thanks for voicing your concerns though man, it makes a huge difference when the content creators speak up. You've done a lot for the POE community. Even Q&A with Chris Wilson for the COMMUNITY etc. MULTIPLE TIMES (Incase some of you forgot). That says a lot bro. Never seen Content Creators/Players go straight to the heads of a game company to discuss improvements to a game. What a great way to show leadership and preserverance.

I keep refining my thoughts around the archnemesis monsters and my current take is this: Archnemesis monsters need to have smaller variance between being a joke and being unstoppable - that means increase the minimum as well as maximum possible mods on a rare with map tier and move those extremes closer together (say white map rare should have 1 or 2 mods, yellow 2-3, red 3-4). However, certain combination of mods should also be EXCLUDED entirely, as getting a particular combination can prolong the fight by 5-10x or result in you getting oneshot, COMPLETELY RANDOMLY without any player agency whatsoever. The rewards need to also change dramaticly - currently rares with certain mods drop the same type of item like 50 times - this doesn't seem to very useful and all and should change to higher rarity or the loot should be split between different item types to mimic the old way, where we had 10 rares instead of one, each dropping different stuff. On top of that, white and magic monsters should have combined drops comparable to the drops from rares, to prevent mapping builds being at a disadvantage. Once the variance or the difficulty and drop value from rares is brought down, the core game might actually be back close to what we had, but more interesting with the archnemesis mobs providing some challenge that you can counter with having a good bossing character - previously those builds had a disadvantage in mapping, being generally slower.

I wonder if a good first step is to take the Archnemesis modifiers away from all league content. Blight, essence, beyond, all that stuff goes back to the old modifiers. That makes rares that spawn in maps basically another kind of "league content" that appears in maps randomly, and they can do more to adjust its difficulty in isolation, maybe even add more atlas passives that interact with random map rares and not league rares. Then they could go back to all the league mechanics and individually think about whether they'd be more interesting / more fun with some of the archnemesis modifiers added in, or even custom modifiers specifically for that content. For example, delirium and expedition mobs have a lot of their own stuff going on already so they probably don't need archnemesis modifiers on top. Perhaps they could also then go back to map bosses and think about what needs to change with them, too. I also think they shouldn't worry about how rewarding the content is to start off with. They should START by making the content fun to play. Stacked essences with loads of archnemesis modifiers is absolutely not fun to play. Stacked archnemesis modifiers giving huge reductions to damage / ailments etc are not fun to play. Perhaps having more easier rares is better sometimes than one harder one (or perhaps that's what magic monsters should be?). Then once they have the content in a state where it's fun to play and spawning at the right rate to be fun in maps, then think about how a loot design should work that's appropriately rewarding for that content. If the "best version" of essence is much easier mobs, it's fine if those mobs don't drop much except the essences themselves. If the "best version" of betrayal is a bit harder by having some archnemesis modifiers spawn on the rares there, make it a bit more rewarding. If the most fun version of archenemsis rares is basically "boss fights" that are much harder than actual bosses, that's fine if they're appropriately rewarding.

The problem with the proposed archnemesis changes is that they won't solve the underlying problem. Like, look at the clip at the beginning of your vid where it takes you 3 minutes to kill this essence monster. if all the changes work out, this monster will have maybe a third less life - turning slogs like this into slightly shorter slogs and calling it a day is just completely missing the problem.

Too much vitriol achieves the opposite of the desired effect! You are right, POE is a company run by actual humans capable of error and they will listen to their players. Let's be honest, GGG is historicaly very good at trying to please their players. And to be fair it's an extremely complex game to balance given how much new content they give us every single year for absolutely no money.

Mapping with minions is easy so long as you have the right gems slotted. From there it's incremental gear improvements and anointing. I recommend you check out Kay's channel, she has a wide array of minion builds. Last league I ran Skele Mages and got to Uber end game. Only reason I didn't continue was causeI got bored.

They "reworked" minions so the scaling by gem levels is nerfed and the dependence on gear is much higher then before (and good luck dropping anyting this league). If you play a build with permanent minions you can´t click as fast as they fall over. Especially in the lake. Ghazzy made a good video showcasing his animate guardian which was extremely tanky and died to a breach.

I honestly think the drop in loot would be a good thing IF it was balanced out by actual better loot. And not that "25% more high level bases" crap. The ideal solution for me would be something like: As ilvl goes up, the lower tiers mods gets blocked. So a ilvl86 item would for example have lowest 5 tiers of life blocked... Then it could be a good thing because you spend less time cluttered and picking shit up and when you get something it you have a real chance for an upgrade. It really sucks for most players when they first realize they should just not pick up rares and just farm currency and buy / craft everything... But without something like that the reduction in loot is ridiculous.

Expedition started with "the big power nerf" up roar, and I thought that there was no way I'm trying this game again. Then something special happened, I started doing research and I looked to the "Gods of POE" for guidance. Your channel was one of my first resource finds, and I decided to give POE a try again. I've seen you being called a shill, or a "company man", over the past several leagues, and those Titles couldn't be further from the truth. People like you are the heartbeat of the game. You are the crash test dummies that line up every day to pilot GGG's experimental power fantasy simulation; you crash, you burn, and you rise again. GGG and "The Haters" especially, need to show you some F^^king Respect, because without you, this little experiment dies years ago. To GGG, please save face. 1) Issue a public apology, and Admit you shit the bed. 2) Make this EPIC FAIL an EPIC WIN by publically round tabling "The Gods of POE" to decide on how to fix this, and get it done ASAP. Moving forward keep these forums operational and transparent. 3) You are going to have to give the player base another "good faith" damage control incentive to come back to this league and play. NOTHING would speak louder to this than giving players more mtx perks for completing their atlas, or other endgame content. You forgot how hard the Archnemesis was at the start of 3.18 so they had to nerf it 4 or 5 times (maybe even more). It was fine 1 month after but the start was god awful. I dropped the sentinel league because of that. The scourge was amazing for softcore, after that it was a shitshow every time. With loot this bad I have to farm for a whole month to make my build, because I don't have much time to play. I loved crafting with harvest, and sell the crafts to the other people in guild or else, now I don't have that, because the drop rates are miserable and best crafts are removed. Archnemesis stressing me the fuck out when they kill me instantly and I wanna it out of the game. I don't wanna see 3 or 4 mode rares that are more dangerous than a map boss. What about removing the archnemesis entirely from the FUN league and leave it to the hardcore players in their "megahard gigachad mode"? GGG is trying too hard to satisfy 2 different kinds of player base at the same time and they're failing to deliver in both cases. Just separate the game into 2 different modes already and leave softcore players with their toys.

In a game with limitless diversity on paper, it really does feel as if they're trying their hardest to eliminate it. In the past, you could genuinely pick whatever fun looking build you wanted, and it'd be more than viable, even if you were a mapping based build doing bosses, and vice versa. Each and every subsequent league, little by little, that diversity has been plucked away to the point where everyone's just playing the same "most optimized" meta builds. Because it feels as if we're forced to if we still want to have any semblance of joy playing this game still, and not want to bash our heads in fighting the same rare mobs for over 5 minutes. And sometimes we still do spend 5 minutes killing a single rare mob, even with the more optimized builds, at least as solo trade/ssf players. This doesn't even touch on the loss of gameplay diversity either, but that's more an issue isolated to this league VS my previous argument. No return on investment from mapping monster drops = Heist only, baby.

Today so many builds are FUCKING DEAD purely by collateral of GGG focusing on few outliers and targeting it from multiple angles that they kill completely "ethical" builds in the process. Current list of starter builds that are not complete fucking ass that you respec out of as soon you get some currency is a fucking snorefest. You would not find a single fucking league in the past 10 years where people would voluntarily sign up to play fucking Righteous Fire even if you held a gun to their temple. Few last leagues in general were really fucking boring if you didn't want to spend 10x more on a build to make some other skill work. Either that or slitting your wrists trying to convince yourself that Toxic Rain doesn't want you to turn off the game and go play something else instead. The sheer volume of repeated nerfs to minions league after league made it to the point where SRS that technically didn't receive any mentionworthy buff is considered playable. That's the state of your fucking "diversity". The idea of diversity is not that there aren't dominant builds - the idea of diversity is that you don't have to fucking play them to simply not grief yourself. I couldn't give two fucks about someone deleting A8 Sirius in 3 seconds because I can play something that is fun instead. Current repertoire of viable builds that don't require robbing a fucking bank is nothing but a snorefest of epic proportions and amount of completely dead abilities has never been higher. I'm not gonna play a game like a fucking job in order to get something off-meta to the point where it just doesn't feel absolutely terrible to play. With all due respect, go fuck yourself. Nobody who ever played off-meta gave a shit about meta heads but it is their choices that keep shrinking, not the other way around. Holy shit you've got my blood boiling....

Archnem mobs are so overtuned (ex. build invalidating modifiers) to the point where it feels as if you're being actively punished for trying to play outside of the meta. You now have a noticeably worse experience overall playing off-meta, instead of only marginally/situationally worse while still having as much/more fun than playing meta skills and builds you don't like.

I very much disagree on the "great ideas, terrible implementation" bit. So many changes in this patch stem from terrible ideas instead. Take Archnemesis for instance. Like you said, slapping it on every rare mob in the game is awful. The system just isn't made for that. However, slapping AN on every rare mob IS part of the initial idea. The implementation details are things like the number of mods on each mob, the numerical values associated and such. Here, the idea itself is awful, and will give awful results no matter how good the implementation. A better idea would have been to restrict archnemesis to league content or a map modifier (like Beyond). The loot changes also stem from an awful (and quite incomprehensible) idea : that players need less loot overall to slow their progression. I'd even say not communicating them in the patch notes was all part of the plan. The deletion of all the good harvest crafts isn't an implementation detail either : it is part of the core idea. It was always GGG's desire to demolish harvest, and that would certainly happen when they made it tradeable. I would agree that the lifeforce amounts are implementation rather than idea, but to be honest they barely matter given the crafts we have left. The only change I would argue stems from a good idea and suffers from a bad implementation is the Lake itself.

Play testing should be done by content creators that specializes on specific builds so that every PROs and CONs can be balanced, if the new mechanics will be good are dull, if the changes will be healthy for the economy, and stress that archnemesis is not a good idea as the NEW foundation of the game.

Well said. Last league was my favorite since I started playing back in Delve league (Diablo Immortal announcement weekend!). This was easily my best day 1 league start, and by the end of the first day I was already feeling let down by the league mechanic and nerfed droprates. I'm still playing, I hope they can get more substantial buffs in soon. Definitely feel like they really dropped the ball in every possible way this league. Its fixable, but they're going to have to do a lot.

It's hard to hit the sweet spot, when you nerf players, defences and their diversity choices, loot and crafting while ramping up monsters even further. When the game only introduced one single active gem and one rework of an unused Ascendency, you probably gonna be short on interest in the league. By each league the players feel all the more pigeon holed into more narrow decisions to adapt, rather than the game catering to its real potential of diversity. They have the ingredients, but it needs to come together and they are getting further away, since the pandemic. The design ideology is getting frightening close to Asian dev approaches, rather than Western, and despite what they said in the past about Tencent not influencing their decisions, it seems all the more apparent when they double down, rather than listening to the community that built them. It feels like the guy that was sanctioning the Delirium weekly league is responsibly for these things, and as such completely disconnected to what actually makes PoE a standout game.

btw they made it even worse for build diversity by removing the harvest color craft, you can't even use 60% of the unique armours anymore because it's hard as fuck to offcollor stuff now, so if you're a caster just say bye bye to any str or dex chest because it would cost you thousands of jewller orbs to get your collors going, and then you will still need co link it, unlike before that you could buy a 6l item and fix the colors as a final step

It sucks because they have been doing this since expedition league... and weirdly no one is really talking about it. Saying we've had a great past 3 leagues isn't exactly accurate. Sentinel was good but only because sentinel was good. And of course the atlas passive tree is amazing. But in terms of general game changes and not the league mechanics or atlas tree. They have consistently been fucking over the player and their choices at diversity since 3.15

It genuinely feels like what GGG wants is completely at odds with what the general player base wants. They keep pushing and pushing to make it difficult and grindy in spite of the fact that most players simply don't want that. Don't get me wrong, I like challenging content and I enjoy grinding, but it shouldn't be mandatory to progress your character to a reasonable level of power. There should be difficult and grindy content available for those who want it, but at the end of the day the vast majority of the content in the game should be doable to the majority of the player base. They also seem to have forgotten that the main reason people play these games is for the loot, we want as many slot machine pulls as possible, and GGG seems to want to do as much as they can to limit that. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, but generally speaking, games that listen to their player base have longer and healthier life spans than games that don't, and GGG seem to have taken the stance that they know better than the players do. It's not a recipe for success long term.

I feel like a problem GGG is facing here, like with many other companies is that on one hand you have the players who say "ohh the loots are so bad, it's not worth my 2 minutes i spend on the map" and on the other hand you have players say "ohh it's so easy to get the best gear, they should nerf it" so they need to find a balance, wich can be hard, especially when ppl expect it to happen over night most of the time.

spell supression is so weird to me because you dont really feel it until you have more than 70%, kinda wish they remade it so that you always surpressed the spells if you had spell supression, just that with more gear you supressed more damage (until a cap), would make it more exciting to get a gear piece with a lower tier roll too. right now it kinda feels like ailment avoidance, you have 100% or you dont have it.

Add it the balance of skills and monsters is frankly a shell of what it use to be, you require way more effort to reach goals than you could reach before, and in some cases now, the effort is simply not worth it, minion survivability is completely gutted to the point AG is worthless as a skill, spectres drop dead so often now too. Those take time and effort, and in AG's case, money to setup, and with the current game, you risk them being completely blown apart in normal content, let alone things like breach

I've been playing since Talisman and it really feels like they have tried to re invent what they had going ever since. each league has seen something to slow the player down and make less builds viable, they add all sorts of new shinies and seemingly complex wastes of time and then nerf the couple of fun ways players come up with to farm this crap all the while piling power creep mechanics on top.and making hard speed caps along with damage checks. very frustrating and why I've bailed for Chaosbane and Inquisitor lately,

I loved harvest crafting these past few leagues. I did a lot of research into mods and stat weights and rolled plenty of valuable items, especially jewels. Divining them perfectly felt like good etiquette and it was fun storing those crafts for when I need them. I used the keep prefixes craft on my minion cluster jewels as well, in order to roll attack speed. That was my go-to method, and now it's just gone. I had a chance at it every couple of harvests, and it felt rewarding. I can't afford to pay 10-20ex for a jewel, that's what they went for. So I don't know if I'm even interested in crafting (and by extension in the game) anymore, since it centered so much around harvest. And I never even used TFT or things like that, you could totally use harvest without that. I just always took the 3-5 Items with me in my inventory that I was working on, so I could roll them immediately with harvest.

Worst League for me ever, mapping feels absolutly horrible, absolutly no currency drops, my atlas completion is at 80 and did not drop a single valuable item, making literally 5/c per hour only because I do chaos receipe. I don't get how they could fck up their item quant and qual that hard. Gotta quit this league until patch,. I'm sad, that I bought a supporter pack for the first time ever. :( PS: I don't like doing heist or expedition so I'm fcked. I absolutly love poe normally, why did it have to come to this mess, really ruined my week.

Offtop/ontop: There was a mechanic introduced a while ago, along with three different skills - links. Mechanic that killed both entities if either one got killed. And a mastery introduced that allowed linking with minions. And now minions got nerfed. To the ground and below. Ggg knows what they are doing alright.

I'm a returning player after 4 years, and I've been so confused on why people say "this league is bad" when I'm having fun of a life time. So I went on the internet to educate, and listening to 20 minute videos saying just "this league killed poe", and that" this is the worst league ever" while screaming anger through tone, and not giving any reason other than "bad loot" really does not explain anything and paints them in a weird entitled light. If anyone was wondering, I got to maps, get all the strongbox nodes, bought scarabs, did maps with map craft, spend approx 70-80c together on those 10+ maps with 8-10 strongboxes per one, I ended with 7c Yellow maps... Unfortunately it's too late. This is the steepest drop in player numbers after opening weekend. Now new games are coming and people aren't going to trust ggg anymore. Ritual and ultimatum were the best state of the game. Currency and items were plentiful and there was much more build diversity available. I don't understand people who still hate on that. This is my first time playing PoE, and I love the game so far. I haven't gotten anywhere near the endgame yet (through the vast confusion of trying to learn the passive skill tree) though so I have no idea what to expect. The currency system does seem odd though.

The currency system is pretty complex, but there should be more! You don't really need to worry about these league problems since you just started. Odds are your build will encounter difficulty around level 70-75 anyway. New players should disregard salty old players :P have fun and always use the wiki!

@@drandana3661 I've been using a Blade Vortex build I found online and it's actually been a lot of fun. I found a Vaal Blade Vortex with max rolls on day1 and immediately was like, "Oooh spinny blade go brrr." and so now that's basically my life lmao

They should have added passive notables on the Atlas for the Archnemesis, similar to beyond. You have increased chance for rare monsters to get archnemesis mods with increased rewards. Making it the norm was a bad idea

I’ve played off and on since the beta and there is a lot I don’t understand yet in the current league. I just haven’t kept up to date. I absolutely do not consider you a shill. You’re clearly passionate about the game and are very detailed and articulate your opinions well. For me sometimes a lot of that info is too much for me to process but I feel that you laid everything out clearly in this video.

If they want to keep drops this scarce they need to: 1) Buff currency drops to compensate 2) Introduce loot 2.0 3) Have a hard cutoff on Item affixes based on itemlevel

I like your idea of a new currency for meta mods, but, maybe they wouldn't need to go that far? What if Defensive meta mods = Divine Orbs, Exalted meta mods = Everything else. [D for defense, E for everything else.] Would make both drops equally exciting for the player AND still allow decent value for the drop, regardless of RNG [Getting 7 exalts in your case, instead of divines.]

They are making the game quite a lot more grindy, but there are a lot of players that consider ~50-100ex builds to be endgame and never really went past that, now it will be even harder for them to get some fun build going

I feel like the AN mods that don't grant fancy rewards could literally have strongbox rolls like +1-3 Magic items or +1-3 Rare items. That way they can have guaranteed drop chances instead of like 95% of them dropping nothing?

Honestly what GGG needs to do is introduce a PTR server just like what Diablo 3 does. Diablo 3 releases a PTR 1 to 2 weeks before the start of a new league to let players play test balance changes for the upcoming season. If GGG did this and launched a PTR while omitting the new league mechanic from appearing in that PTR phase players would have 100% caught the issue with loot drops and so much more that GGG apparently cannot do themselves. Chris being a CEO 100% doesn't have the time to micro manage all departments that are needed to develope POE. He most likely issues orders for loot to be normalized and someone from their balancing department fucked up really bad this time around and said that things will be fine and Chris just trusted their words. Apparently devs are not capable of playtesting their own game. This is why PTR for the week following the patch notes release is a very important thing to consider.

For some context, I do believe that the reason people say that the game has been "getting worse" is that for the lower level players this defeated feeling that people are having this league is what they've been having for a few leagues now. It's just hitting better players a lot harder this time. Ironically, as one of those people myself, I haven't even been feeling that much worse this league than I felt last one. And I'm not trying to be hyperbolic there. I feel pretty neutral about both leagues. I can't deny there has been a slight feeling of schadenfreude though, hearing some of my usual complaints like "crafting is too expensive" coming from people who usually would kind of brush that complaint away. If there's one thing I would love to come out of all of this after GGG inevitably buffs stuff back up, it's that understanding that those feelings people are having now is how other people felt before. And to them it wasn't about "zoom zooming" or "having easy free power". it was about having the ability to meaningfully interact with the systems of the game. Y'all just hold on tight, even if nothing else comes out of this league. next league should have a ton of positive changes to offset the damage done by this one. Take care of yourselves, everyone.

Last league I developed the plan of investing many atlas points into harvest, now I am not sure if it will be even remotely worth it

You're not a shill buddy. I appreciate your videos. I'm playing summon raging spirits. The only reason I managed to get to yellow maps so far is because of the 5% life back everytime a raging spirit dies. Shield charge makes mapping quick. But I don't think it's anywhere near HC viable. Keep the videos coming.

Responding to 5:19 onwards Zizaran, people aren't saying all of the last 3 league mechanics are bad (I don't know where you're seeing it but NO well-upvoted posts or comments on reddit are saying that), they're saying core game balance has just been on a downward spiral. And I get that you still disagree with that--you want the game to be hard, you like the challenge, you play this game professionally and if the game balance stayed like 3.13 then I get that you would just get bored with it from finding content too easy even in HCSSF due to the ease of crafting when you literally play the game full-time. But hopefully you can at least understand where people are coming from on that? 3.13 was the ONLY league where 20-hours-a-week players could craft their own gear and be happy running off-meta skills. Build diversity is one of the core ideas presented in PoE's marketing since literally 2012 and 3.13 was the only league in PoE's history that fully delivered on that promise for the mid-level players (obviously the "real casuals" aren't even making it to maps most leagues but GGG has never cared about catering to them). Every other league the average endgame player has to play meta skills to even feel like they're playing the game. Normal people don't have the time nor skill to make more diverse builds work the way you can. The average player is just sick of GGG balancing the core game around *you.* We want 3.13 and even 3.14 (with the nerfed but not completely gutted harvest) balance back.

as someone who works 8hours a day 5 days a week, this kind of nerf hits me the most. I usually do 1-2 days per act. that was before the big nerf. damn. this is getting hard to play casually and in a short span of 3 months. I dont think I would be able to play 2 builds. the trade market naturally dies after a month or two since most people already achieved their goals on the league. this blows.
