110mm rear axle spacing comes from coaster brake hubs. BMX bikes adopt new standards and tech VERY slowly, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Also BMX bikes are very easy to work on now, just need a couple allen keys and a chain tool. And there's great compatibility between brands (except for a certain company's questionable stem/bar system) and great parts compatibility back maybe 15 years now?

So the drivetrain is on the left since the grind pegs are on the right. Is this standard to all bmx bikes, or is this your preference with some other riders grinding on the left?

most bikes are set up stock right hand drive. there are some hubs on the market that are ambidextrous, but on most hubs you need to buy the hub that is made specific for RHD or LHD. grinding on one side or the other is just like "regular" or "goofy" stance on a skateboard or snowboard, or whether you're right- or left-handed. one just feels more natural to some people than to others. the number and arrangement of pegs on the bike is a matter of utility and preference as well. many riders use four pegs to open options for lots of grinds on both sides of the bike, but if you never use those, you can unweight the bike a bit by skipping or removing the ones you won't use, kind of like changing the travel on a suspension fork or using a cassette with a different range to suit how you ride.

I left out cranks. most cranks now are LHD and RHD compatible so you can attach the sprocket to either side. some are not ambidextrous so you would need to swap the arms, which is a PITA because pedals are threaded differently for a reason.

I had a (cheap) BMX with external cup bearings on the steerer, 96mm front axle spacing and 40 spokes. It's sawn in half now 😅

Axle size is weird too. Back in my day the common size was 14mm, but my bike had 1/2in axles 🤷🏻‍♂️

When you do whips, you you. Run a lhd and kick your bike anti clockwise, if your peg hits something the impact is spread over the big bearing where as if you run the wrong sided drive your more likely to kill your hub

Fake news! Top-load is way nicer looking than front-load. Anyway congratulations on your new bike, I got a complete BMX last year that's pretty nice, but I've been riding it so much that I'm getting ready to put one together from the ground up that's even nicer, gonna try to get a slacker 74-ish degree head angle, longer chainstays with the brake mounts on them hopefully, more offset in the forks, integrated chain tensioners, and butted tubing for the frame, fork, and bars. I'm gonna put a 28 or maybe even a 30 tooth sprocket on there, maybe longer than typical cranks, and everything high end, 48-spline cranks, aftermarket wheels, folding tires, I'm gonna spare no expense, I mean why not, even if I use all Profile parts the complete bike will probably still be cheaper than one wheel on my wife's boyfriend's mountain bike.
