Fantastic work, man! Seriously underrated wave for having this easily attainable of an Earth-2 Superman buck for customizing w/ out breaking the bank on the aftermarket *cough cough* Crisis on Infinite Earths *cough cough*. Also as someone mentioned in this comment section, that smiling superman headsculpt from the Ultraman 2-pack is super overhated. Only reason, IMO, that it looks bad is cause of the shorter neck peg it sits on. a SHorter neck peg on an already thick neck really pushes the sides of the jaw out and widens the head making it look terrible. Glad someone is showing it the love it deserves for being a good smiling superman headsculpt (better than the dc classics headsculpt from mcfarlane)

Just as a suggestion for future projects. The intro is very long and I get why you put it in, describing things and giving details as to why you're doing this project helps the viewer to understand things. But I'd suggest recording that separately and overlaying it with the initial work of removing the paint job done on the figure so that there's something going on in the video to keep attention on what you're doing. 90% of people will look at this initially and think it's a review and those who aren't intro figure/toy reviews will click off. Those who are into repainting/customising works may still click off as there's nothing happening in the video even if they know there is going to be And figure reviewers are going to click off if they see you doing work to change things - like the Lex figure Superman symbol use - as they'd think that's wrong. I personally like the thumbnail and want to see the process, so I'm interested in seeing your work, its just this start is going to be a hurdle for people to overcome.
@ScottsStuff1416 сағат бұрын
@@UncensoredScion that’s a very good suggestion and I never thought about that. I’ll start thinking through ways to streamline the process a little more because I want to explain the reason WHY I’m changing or tweaking a figure, but like you said people want to know the HOW and see the process before losing interest. I appreciate the feedback greatly and stay tuned because I’m definitely going to incorporate it in the future!
@UncensoredScion16 сағат бұрын
@@ScottsStuff14 I totally get why you want to explain it, but part of the reason these videos get popular is the process. For instance if I were you I'd rig your video to shoot from above and to record the whole process, that way you can get closer without blocking the view and still have the process for it from start to finish. And when fully recorded from start to finish, speed up the video to make it quicker while recording the reasons you do things and what paints/cleaning you do to get it finished. More people will resonate with it as you're explaining both the process as you're doing it (for instance explaining the nail polish and why it's good while using it) and the techniques you use to get things - I really liked that snippet of the Lex Luthor Superman figure breakdown for parts that was quick and to the point. Oh and I don't know if you don't know it but I've seen a few customising videos that use boiling to make separating the figure parts easier.
@ScottsStuff1415 сағат бұрын
@ yeah one of my goals is to get an overhead setup and that will help with the process. Also I think if I sit down and plan out a project first and then plan out the video I could accomplish things more efficiently. Usually I just sit down and start tinkering, but if I know what mods I’m going to do I should be able to record those as separate parts. I really appreciate the advice and suggestions you’ve provided
