I picked up a one owner 2013 Q5 for $9,280, with 192k miles. Super clean, mechanically smooth, but burns a little oil. I’m trying to get it to at least 300k miles

Have you decided what car to get next? I’m in a similar situation, currently have a 2 year old, another kid on the way. My wife’s highlander lease is up soon. Would need to find a replacement. Thinking of getting a 4Runner, but don’t feel like spending $40k on a new one, and used ones are just as expensive. I just bought a 2016 q5 3.0t as my daily driver.

In 2016, I bought a 2014 CPO bmw 328 with 20k miles for $26k. Original msrp $48k. I sold it last month for $15k at 80k miles. These things tend to depreciate by 50% every 3 years.

Have you had any issues with your panoramic sunroof? I have a 2016 Q5 & my panoramic roof pops whenever there’s any type of flex in the vehicle.

No issues and I haven't ever heard any popping from it.

My aunt bought a 17 BMW X3 for about $41k as a dealer loaner (MSRP ~$50k) after about 2 years & only 14k miles it’s now worth about $27k (trade-in).

Interesting video would you recommend me one from 2013 q5 2.0 ? I'm worry about the oil consumption I mean the reliability overall
@DrivenCompanion3 жыл бұрын
I always tell people Audi's are reliable, but when something breaks they are expensive to repair. The oil consumption in particular doesn't worry me too much as long as you make sure to top it off between oil changes.

2.0t Motors are junk and eat through pistons and rings every 50-60k not to mention the hpfp for direct injection... go buy a pre owned rx350 you’ll thank me later

What kind of industry do you work in? German luxury cars depreciate so much, even non-luxury like VWs lose value so quickly. 2013-2015 VW Golfs sell for $13,000 max CAD at dealerships around here.

What was the mileage? Around 100000miles right?

I think they're nice but they're not especially exciting or something that will really suit my needs at this stage in life.

I could probably get on board with that :-)

Depreciation is no worse than anything else. Is this the most expensive car thay you'd ever bought?
