Whilst watching, I've found out that to avoid this "jumping" effect between two zoom transition, I can apply a simple transition (cross dissolve one) and this makes the entire clip look very smooth. Will do it with my next editing :)

Thanks so much for this Michael, but I'm having a problem with holding the continuous zoom. The second clip doesn't start off on the end it just completely resets back to it's original size. Any suggestions? I click the reverse tab and then when I click on crop to fill,is when it just resets to full size.

Thanks for your very interesting tutorials on iMovie. I wonder if there are any hidden possibilities in iMovie for editing the audio track of a video? I make videos of modeltrains for my KZbin-channel and it would be great to have the possibility of splitting left and right channels and then edit them separately or add sound effects to one of both channels. I have been searching for independent left/right editing in iMovie, but I couldn’t find it.

Michael, I have a GoPro Hero 5 camera and I normally record videos in 2.7k or 4K, but when I export these videos to iMovie, they are only at 1080p resolution. What should I do to save videos in 2.7k?

iMovie uses the resolution of the first clip on the timeline to set the resolution of the project. Is the first clip on your timeline 1080p or 4K?

Man you should write a comprehensive guide on iMovie for the desktop and mobile app as it appears overly simple, yet has depth to it. These videos are great, but we're at a point in time where we have to question, "If it's on the internet, is it really on there forever?" There is content I can no longer find as it has been wiped from, well, the forever internet.
