Enterprise quoted me $2100.00 per month plus .25 cents per mile on top of that. For a 26’ with liftgate. On the insurance, they want any vehicle marked on the COI. Amazon relay no longer takes new authorities. They told me it needs to be 180 days old.

Yep, Amazon does require 180 days of active authority now. I would shop the rate you got from Enterprise against Ryder, Penske, and Budget. You should definitely be able to negotiate a better rate. You will not find a commercial auto policy that provides Any auto coverage in the auto liability until your MC authority has been active for at least two years and have at least 10 trucks (and those policies are typically billed monthly with variable rates based on total mileage). Give us a call once you figure out which rental company you want to go with and we can help you with insurance. Each rental company is different about insurance requirements but we have relationships with all of them and can take care of you.

I'll get a video going for inspections and weigh stations. For ELD's. the rental trucks already have them, you setup an account through the rental company, there's an app on your phone, it connects to the truck's ELD via Bluetooth. You don't have to worry about getting ELD's until you get your own truck.

@@kitciaquintero3883 It’s a tough gig man. I started running routes for Amazon, but they weren’t paying shit, so I decided to go over the road. I made more money over the road but needed up coming back local to be with the family. If you drive Amazon every night and you are the driver you can make a living. I ended up hiring a driver and it wasn’t paying enough. But once you get the all rolling with Amazon your able to get a box truck contract dedicated route that makes decent money or you can try to get two runs a night. High dessert will be better than San Diego because your close to San Bernardino and LA where a ton of runs come out of.

The rental trucks have ELD's already. You will download an app that connects to the truck's ELD...super easy. You don't have to worry about ELD's until you get your own truck...that's when it'll be time to get Keep Truckin'...they are the best!
