I think this vehicle looks very good. If this vehicle has the reliability of past Acuras and Hondas then I can understand its price. We've had 7 Hondas/Acuras in our family. We are a family of mechanics and it is obvious that most Hondas and Acura's are better built for reliability than most if not all of the competition. I recently had my K24 Acura engine oil tested by BlackStone Laboratories and they confirmed that my 14 year old engine showed to be in excellent condition based on metal wear. Figure I'll get at least 30 years out of this car. They are also very safe. The incredible build of a Honda Pilot saved my parents lives when they got into a high speed wreck on the highway. Though the driver in me does wish that this A-Spec would come with a little more power and braking upgrade. I hope this Acura is built to the standards of previous ones.

I have to agree with you about the seats. My wife an acura and I envy those seats. Leather is very soft and plush. Really gives the car a nice luxury feel

Test drove this car but my wife and 3 kids forced me to buy a 2018 Dodge Durango RT. I have a 2008 TL and really love that car. But my 06 Trailblazer was in more of an upgrade than the TL. This TLX A-Spec is a really nice car lots of Tech stuff and the usual good sound system from Acura. If I was single or had just one kid I would've got it in red with black interior. And the price is negotiable sticker was 45700 and got it down to 42500. But every time I step on the Hemi in my Durango I don't regret it!

Bete As someone who has a 16 MDX the two way split infotainment is a nightmare even with this slightly updated interface spend some time using it. For the GPS it locks you out once your driving.

Zolitar Iglussey same! But the tlx has many recalls and owner complaints on nhtsa! So many electrical problems reported. Not sure about the tlx v6.

I don't know why but, that interior lacks real luxury feel and premium look....Exterior is okay... But, not up to the competition..When you have giant rivals like Lexus. BTW Great review.

Ice 'n' Fire I don't know why complaining about the dash. Infiniti Q50 or even the new Lexus ES infotainment not that much better. Almost the same. BMW have the best graphics out of the bunch though. Mercedes A class infotainment will be a lot better than all of these when it comes out, similar to S class.

I feel like Acura could've done way better interior wise, for almost $50k you're better off getting an Accord touring. The exact same paddle shifters are on my Accord Sport.

Does it feel strange as you drive to not have a shifter to place your hand or to hold on to? Seems more difficult to have buttons that i have to look at compared to a physical shifter I know where all the gears are without looking. I have never driven any car with buttons instead of shifter though. I'm only guessing it would not be as simple. I do know my brothers Dodge Ram has that turn knob and he has told me several times he put his hand on it and instinct kicked in and he turned it, thinking he was lowering the volume of the radio.

Accord tourings aren’t typically cheap you probably got a good deal as they released the newest generation and wanted to clear the lot of their old body style cars. Of the two I prefer the tlx a spec over the v6 accord coupe they’re essentially the same under the clothes though.

I had a 2017 touring too and I upgraded to this 2018 tlx aspec with the awd LAWD I love this car. I know your tired of your accord always freezing on apple car play. This never happens in the tlx EVER 🔥🔥. Besides that such a far more premium vehicle in everyway

There is none now... The Accord dropped the V6 so it will stay really underpowered against the TLX unless Honda releases a higher HP Turbo 4 or a new V6 Variant.

The SH-AWD, chassis, and suspension of the TLX are all completely out of Camry's league for driving ability. They make the TLX a much better driving experience. Drive a new TLX with SH-AWD, and I swear that you'll never question it again.

D.E.P H MC. Why? Your expertise is quite thorough. It reminds me of some of first VW pass at Passat's, exciting at the time but now it seems most company's have borrowed that design until it's past it time. This car is no exception. Used to love Acura but have since have lost that loving feeling.
