Here's the $5 Nokia 5610 XpressMusic Clone that looks NOTHING like the real deal...

This went WAY over estimate but I wanted to show the videos, music and ringtones that were on this.
Also I am so unhinged in this review so if you need to use timestamps - that's completely understandable!

Lingering around a smaller ewaste place I found this little gem tucked away in a box.
It looked odd and I went "Wait...this is a Nokia 5610 XpressMusic Clone?" HOW??
WELL IT TURNS OUT THERE IS SOMETHING THAT IS KIND OF THE SAME!
The manufacturer of this phone went "XpressMusic, yeah we can do that" and thus this clone exists.
The 5610 came out December 2007 whereas the clone came out in 2009.
Why they changed up the design and all that, I have no idea.

MIDI 2 is definitely “Right Here Waiting” by Richard Marx. MIDI 11 sounds a lot like “Je m’appelle Hélène” by Hélène Rollès. Can’t recognise more than that. I’d say a lot of these could easily just be some Chinese pop songs; they tend to pull off tunes that sound familiar to the western ear, although they’re not quite the same… it’s its whole thing 😊

Going to rewatch as missed the first 10 minutes earlier. Great video and good fun to watch. I really had to assure myself that I was wearing my glasses during the camera test lol The Divine Miss Ripley still looked fabulous. ❤ Absolutely gobsmacked by 4 spearkers lol ( autocorrect is having a fit) the sound was pretty good. It's taken years to get Dolby Atmos and this could have been a standard for many years. Overall, not a completely bad phone. At the time I think it would have been pretty amazing. Found an mp3 player that has lived in a drawer for years and after giving it a charge its a Welcome device. I'm so chuffed ☺️ lol

21:10 It is actually from a cult classic Hongkong kong fu comedy in 1993. And the making of it has a interesting backstory: Wong Kar Wai, a famous director was making a "deep" kung fu movie. But the movie was over budget and severely delayed, and the investors were losing patience. So Wang's team pretty much said that let's use the assets we have in hand, throw together another slapstick comedy to appease the investors. They shot the whole thing in 27 days and it was a moderate box office success. However over the years it has became a cult classic, overshine its more serious counter part by far.

Pretty interesting device! I expected this device to have a MediaTek MT6226. This device's synth sounds like an MT6226 and judging by it, the old looking firmware and the fact that it was kind of not very snappy made me assume it was running at 52MHz, the clock speed of the MT6226. An easy way of telling which is which is to listen to Ring 4, it sounds different on the MT6225 and the MT6226.

I had the 5610 xpressmusic, it wasn't for the mobile, but I didn't like it too much, especially the S40 OS, for me it was a monumental mistake, that mobile would have been better than the S60.
