If you dont think money gives you an edge in this sport you're just lying. To be able to train the places he has, ride the bikes he has, have the mechanics he has had since a young age definitely is gonna give him an edge over the broke boy ripping laps at his local track every weekend for a hefty entrance fee. I'm not hating though. This kids got it. He really doesnt need to defend the fact that he has money. It gives an edge but without putting in the work it's pointless. His hard work outweighs what hes gotten in life. Other kids would be lazy in his position so I give him props.

Too much focus on the deegans having money to play, not enough focus on the hard work, dedication, RISK, etc. It’s not like they’re some family that just was handed money. Keep in mind that Brian fought hard for literally fucking ever to land a spot that haiden got, and he still never got it to this day. Brian spent the first half of his life putting his life on the line to make a living for his family. Now that his dream is a reality, I bet he’s fuckin stoked. He knows the amount of effort it took for him to barely even make it in the sport as a racer. So he set up his kid, who obviously had the drive, thrill, excitement and love for the sport, to go on and be a fuckin’ champion. You can give a man a fishing pole, doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll go out and catch his dinner. Haiden was given the opportunity, which for some people is a dream opportunity, and he ran with it. I just don’t get all of the negativity because his dad hustled his ass of while yours sat on their ass being contempt with what he had 🤷♂️.

Your interview with pastrana had a part that has stuck with me since I’ve heard it. It was the part about how people were jealous of him having a foam pit. He told the story about how he knew some people who, instead of complaining about not having a foam pit, they went out and worked certain jobs and overtime had enough materials to build the foam pit. It’s all about how bad you want it.

There's no denying that he has his father's money, his father's industry connections, access to top notch coaches/trainers, equipment, multiple private tracks to utilize day in and day out, and plenty of pros to ride with/associate with and guide him to success. He is very fortunate to be the son of Brian Deegan. But Brian worked for everything that he has, and I think it's great that he is paving the way for his kid's success in life. After all, money can only get you so far, and it's up to Haiden to carry it the rest of the way. Best of luck to him.

Yeah, he's got connections, but Haiden has to have the ability and drive. In this sport, and this is from a 52 year old firefighter who has never raced MX who is purely a fan, nobody is winning based on their name or connections. He's still gotta cross the line first. Ya can’t say a bad thing about haiden. He’s humble, works his ass off, and is extremely talented because of that. At his age, staying with KTM would have been the easy way. Having to make a life changing decision, having the respect to walk his KTM in and thank them on the way out...those are huge things for a kid his age. I couldn’t imagine having his responsibilities and attitude at his age. All I cared about was hanging with friends and meeting girls. I even quit two sports that more than likely would have given me a free ride in college, cause I was young, dumb, and didn’t want to listen to anybody. Some of the biggest regrets in my life were all made at haidens age

I wonder that too. I would think you would want to preserve him from the hype instead of pursuing it. From what I know this young fellow has yet to prove himself, but not in the eyes of the press. All this exposure is sure to make his competitors angry and more than willing to stick it to the novice. Dont see the wisdom in that.
@showtime9513 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. That is easily the greatest compliment anyone could give Haiden. Adam was, and is, always the best interview compared to all other riders. He has all of the knowledge base of riding and racing plus the benefit that he is smarter, wittier, funnier, more well-read, has a greater knowledge of other sports and general news, and has the additional benefit that no one in his family was ever in to racing on any level so he didn't grow up in the generally dumbed down MX micro-bubble.

I just hate to see him ride outside his limit due to all the hype and be plagued with injuries like Adam.
@showtime9513 жыл бұрын
@@leemsadventures1007 - Agreed! As far as being plagued by injuries like Adam, God forbid. Adam's untimely and debilitating injuries have been arguably the biggest bummer in SX/MX over the last several years, certainly for fans but especially for him. But if a human being is measured by the level of competition he competes at and the obstacles that he continually fights, over and over to overcome, Cianciarulo is the benchmark of heart, man, and Champion.
@barneyba3 ай бұрын
It’s like this. The kid had worked hard and taken advantage of his opportunities, but he also has access to more opportunities like the kids of all MX and SX stars do. If every single kid in America had his opportunities, would he be as successful? The odds say no. But that’s how the world works. Lots of fate goes into a person’s development in life. Just the way it is. Coulda woulda shoulda. If the kid is good, he’s good. In the other hand, a champion in any sport who beat all the odds is a more endearing story. I’d say the Lawrence Brothers came from much less, but they have a helluva parenting system themselves. They are all inspiring stories.

I think we should hold the horses back and see how he competes against the big boys. One thing is clear, the form (referring to scientific term) he has had throughout his career up until now was definitely unachievable by his peers. No kid has access to the training he does. Now once he enters the pro leagues he competes with people who all do. So let's see. One thing is for sure, seems to be a certain shift, we have not seen a young gun appear on the scene and dominate in a while. Like Jorge Prado was as dominant as a rider can be in the super stacked MX2 class. He went up to mxgp and though he doesn't do bad in any sense, he clearly has his work cut out for himself. I personally don't see you Mr. Deegan beating anyone in the top 5 for a long run, but let's see. All the best and an accident free ride to him!

Signing with THE best team is exactly what the spoiled rich kid would do... Whether he continues to do the work will be on him now but if you had the option to ride for any team (which I'm sure he did) Star would be the no brainer. I think the narrative of spoiled kid will follow him into his first couple years as pro where his advantages as an amateur will be most noticeable. After a while all the guys his age that make it factory will be on an even playing field, then the narrative can be rewritten on the track. Ironically Jett mastered the PR game as a young pro and looks like a humble hero, Haiden looks more like the product of a revenue chasing machine unfortunately.

With all the hype and exposure, might as well paint a bulls eye on his jersey. He better be good. Damn good

Let's all keep this in mind about haiden. First of all his dad was a gold medal winner in freestyle. He has a sister that races at high level in cars and trucks. Then along comes haiden who has put in a ton of effort and has taken some crashes that would of taken most kids out of racing. He had some really bug shoes to fill and when that gate drops for him at round one of the Supercross season haiden will be ready. I have watched this kid ride since he was old enough to ride. He had some bad races for sure but lately he has been eating up the track and finishing way ahead of class. It doesn't matter he comes from money I know for sure haiden will put in 150% each week in Supercross. I have high hopes for him I truly think if he can stay healthy he has a chance.of beating the king of Supercross Jeremy McGrath record. If he can injury free he just might pull it off.

Like heaps of people have already said, u can spend millions but if that kid dont have what it takes they wont be fast/a champion!!! And i also think its unfair to point at Haiden and be like "Ohhhh hes only there cause hes family is rich!!!", nearly every rider/racer at a National level came from money and if they didnt their parents broke themselves trying to get them there 🙄 MX aint a cheap sport, you aint gunna get a "unemployment check" sponsored rider 🤣 so every other kid that lined up next to Haiden has had money thrown at them through their parents and then other avenues too (some parents had to sell their house, work multiple jobs etc and Haidens oldboy had to break himself multiple times in a brutal sport in its infant years while also being an innovator and buisness savvy guy, it wasnt like he won lotto!) So its just not fair to point the finger at Haiden and hes hardwork, determination and skill with the "golden spoon" statements.

“Spoiled” is a term for kids getting stuff handed to them that have a shitty attitude. If he remains grateful with a good attitude, nice to his fans, then anyone calling him that is ungrateful and probably act like d bags that are too good for ya. Fck stigmas, he’s authentic unlike a lot of kids🤘🏻

I do like to watch the family as they go thur all this stuff but think a little about it. Your fastest local rider at the track probably has to goto public school everyday , doesn’t have a track in the backyards to just ride when they want too, doesnt have a personal trainer living with them helping them every day, and they def dont have 5 bikes at there disposal or parts. Im not saying hes not talented and he def works for it but its definitely very had to compare him to a normal local kid coming up the ranks. I definitely think he will do well tho in pros

I think kids can ride well with out training that much .. Danger Boy used to be rather cocky on their youtube channel. His parents are doing a good Job. Sponsorship is so Importnat.. and Social Media keeps track of everything you do so you really do have to stay Polite and Humble .. I am just now hearing that Danger Boy is taking his training seriously .. He is now too big for the Mini's but he is not fully mature enough for the full sized bikes.. The thing I don't like about Motocross is the Doubles and Triples that if you miss one you could get paralized.. It seems so many riders get injured.. Sounds like he has a good plan.. You have to have the drive and desire to win, but I think you have to have Natural talent on top of good nutrician and training..

You really think he'd be any slower with the same resources everyone else has? Cause I doubt it. It's not like his competitors also didn't have 25,000 dollar superminis, You can't just go and buy "fast" lol...
