watched this video on my Fold3. The only reason i felt like getting a folding phone was a good idea was because ive been hyped for folding displays for years, and because i have a history of being really gentle with my phones in the past. if you have a history of dropping phones, cracked glass and whatnot, a folding phone is a terrible idea for you. but being able to carry around a small folding tablet in your pocket is probably the most cyberpunk thing you can do.

It's not as much the OLED, it's the material used for the screen. Right now it's plastic because, well what else is bendable and transparent? And as we can see, a tiny layer of glass under the plastic really isn't enough to change anything, in fact it might have just made the issue worse as now it can crack. Only special meta materials can really solve these issues, but meta materials require atom bases precision to produce so don't expect it for decades to really take off.

Shoot. I just picked up a flip3 for $550 used. It still has the warranty and will trade + promo when the flip 4 comes out. I agree with a previous comment. I would trade these every 1-2 years. BUT there is another YT video of a flip3 doing 500K folds with no problem. Crazy.....

I have no use for a foldable phone. Good concept for showing off.

My mom just out of no where bought one, the z flip 3, it is pretty nice and durability wise, it is fine, especially with the water resistance bcuz she spilled soup on it a month ago and it work just fine, but i would say that the battery life is poor, her old huawei would last 1-2 days but this one barely make it out of 1 day alive

Unfortunately I've had a Galaxy fold 1 for a few months and I absolutely love it. I can't go back to regular phones anymore.

"Cute couple" 😁 It's not like I expected anything less from a phone this expensive, but damn, that is EXPENSIVE.
