Lots of great info & advice on C10s Jimmy. I would say more importantly was your Godly advice. For the most part, I prefer the chevy/GM styling on the cars & trucks. They also are easier/cheaper to work on in my opinion. Thank you for sharing! 👍

I have always loved chevy. I guess it was passed down to me by my dad. I owned a beautiful IROC for 28 years. There’s only so much you can do with them. I sold it to buy a 68 short bed. Needs a little work but that’s the beauty is that you can individualize it to your style and you just can’t do that with say a 55 Chevy. Be you!

You got that right. You can build 2 chevys before you build 1 ford with cost. Honestly, I wouldn't be building a Ford if it wasn't for my wife. Parts are so hard to find, and if you do find them. You have to give your arm for them.

@primeredisbest I don't upload my projects never thought about it, see I'm not totally doing builds from the ground up, I can just keep a vehicle alive once it's already going. What I can do is not perfect for vehicles that have a check engine light because those vehicles are weird I mean everything has to be perfect, see with a classic you don't need to smog it and it don't have a check engine light.

Almond Joy is looking good. C10 pickups were the base models. The original motor in Almond Joy was either an inline 6 cylinder, a 283 V8, or a 327 V8. Those generation pickups are the first generation C/K series pickups. I bet the Ford bullnose F-series pickups are hard to find these days because you don't see many of them on the roads anymore.

The 1955 - 1959 Chevrolet trucks were the first generation to have a V8 which was a 265 V8 introduced in 1955. Then in 1958, that motor was dropped & a new 283 V8 was introduced which replaced it.

Back to the 1955 - 1959s, production didn't begin until the middle of the 1955 model year because the last generation ones were still in production through the first half of the 1955 model year.

Yes sir your right price wise and parts even the engines in the dodge and fords it's a job to swap most parts.I've had so many chevy's and gmc's c 10 I have an 81 short step side she's ready to paint and do you think i can get someone to paint it body shops want to do insurance jobs i did a frame off frame blasted and powder coated body was vapor blasted.now i have the 81,83,95 and 09 .My daughter said if i sell the 81 she will bring out her evil on me hahaha i just turned 68 great video sir Jimmy i live in N.B.
