What a perfect truck. Drive it for work, to church, to dinner, doesn't matter - it will fit in. I miss trucks like this. Thank you as always for taking us along and sharing your knowledge ~ Chuck. P.S. And you're so right about the parking lot. I got into a 15 minute conversation at a gas station in the middle of nowhere because he was driving a 72 GMC.

I feel like every C10 I've seen at shows or C&C are modded to the moon. Neat seeing this one.

So nice to see a stock original C10, pretty rare theses days, a credit to the owner. Great video Mike and thanks for sharing.

Had a '72 C-20 painted black/white/black from the factory. Bought it in '79 (at the tender age of 17) from the original owner that I knew. Guy never towed anything and I remember the GVWR was crazy high. Rode like a log wagon...and I loved it. Truck had 8K miles and looked like it came off the showroom. Crazy prices nowadays for these trucks.

My dad owned a 72 step side. It is my iconic and ideal vehicle. I still drive Chevy trucks today. Someday I will get my own 72 to sit next to my 22.

Beautiful truck! BTW, in 1972 the top-of-the-line trim package was the Cheyenne Super.

When I was young we had a 1970 Suburban 350. Tough as nails.. It was later replaced with a 1980 Suburban. I had my licence by then. We went white water rafting once with two vehicles. All the gear and 5 or 6 people in it no problem. I think the later one was a 4 speed auto and we converted it to run on propane. Like driving a bus but tough as nails. BTW the second car was a VW Beetle. Which I learned to drive with. My father was 6ft 8in tall. Not a problem in the Suburban. But with the VW the seat set past the end of the track touching the rear seat. My sister had to drive with a pillow to reach the pedals.

I gotta echo what the owner said...if you don't pay for something, you'll never appreciate it. All those guys that lowball you when you're trying to sell a car, they'll never be a good home for it.

my dad had one of these, he hated it . He said the 3 speed on the colum was geared wrong, probably better in a car. He traded it in for a 1ton International with 4 on the floor and a bigger V8, now that was a truck. The engine was size was somewhere between 370 and 390 cubic inch.

This video was not what I was hoping for. This is tripe. The owner "sitting in a booster seat" ....no, you are not from the correct generation and are clearly not from the country. Metro....
