Minimum sized tractor for moving stacking 1200 LBS plus large bales is a Five Series E or M. It’s not just picking up the bale, it’s also how high you want to stack the bales. A five series with 520 or 540M loader gives you three round bale stack heights.

Yes, this is a good point. This is why I make sure to mention plenty of times that bale weight is super important when considering your tractor.

Do not buy anything smaller than a 5065 to move average weight round bales. Especially if youre lifting onto a trailer or into a feeder If your ground isnt perfect it will tip. The 5065 still needs rear weights, and water in the tires to not have lifting/balance issues.

You are 100% correct. I immediately began unloading 1250# hay bales with a 5065e upon delivery. Nearly tripped it over with the first bale. Parked it until I got liquid in tires and wheel weights.

No, you need to include the weight of the bucket or whatever implement you are using. Could be a bales pear or any other front attachment.
