(Her apartment is nice tho)
@daniellenicole94703 жыл бұрын
It really depends on location in San Antonio one would like to stay. Certain areas can cost more by location. For example, most places that are inexpensive for SA in the metropolitan area tend to be run down or in neighborhoods not as ideal. Other inexpensive locations are very far away from the downtown scene. Most cities have these pockets of expensive in specific locations and people have different preferences of what they want to buy/rent to be in or near said specific areas. To give perspective, I live in SA and my apartment price is half of hers, but the area I live is car required! There isn't a whole lot of things to do within walking distance unless you enjoy shopping at the one of hundreds of identical shopping centers (seriously, the shopping centers all over have basically the same stores only separated by about 2-5 miles from one another). And take into consideration that majority of apartment companies fluctuate their prices on an almost daily basis, so even my own complex the residents pay different prices on the same floor plan! So for all we know, this apartment she got might be cheaper for that complex. Either way, to each their own. If she got the money to throw down for what she wants, ain't no shame to the game. ❤️

Suggestions! That kitchen island is way to small. That long space feels like it overwhelms a lot of the smaller furniture in there. I would get a bigger island and consider moving the other half of the shelf from the entry and putting it next to its other half to make a longer shelf. You could put a dog bed in the entry and some hooks for the leash and stuff. Also definitely hang your pictures! Try command strips. The walls need art, and dont be afraid to go big and bold. For the rack, there's tons of tutorials on youtube for cool industrial ones made of pipe if you want. But I find that 2 easy ways to improve the look of clothing storage when it's visible like that is matching hangers (I got mine at Ross) and organizing your clothes by color. Also a headboard would be nice, but if it's not in the budget you could do a tapestry type of thing where you would put a headboard to ground the space. Again, society 6 has them. Hope any of that helps :)
@ashleyinwonderland68044 жыл бұрын
For the rack I’d say get matching hangers to make it look more uniform and small fabric storage bins underneath your clothes. Up to you what to put in the bins but pants might get rid of the bulk. ORRR they even sell hanging cubby systems that generally come with 3-4 little slots and a drawer or two. Neatly folded clothes on that cubby system will look really nice. The system can go on the top pole of your rack and it just hangs vertically ORRRRR If you want to be extra “fancy” you can buy suitcase boxes. They’ll give you a vintage look, and they’ll literally look like decoration only but can secretly be filled with your clothes. For the pup, there is a bed that exist but isn’t that common. It looks like a human daybed with drawers reduced to a dog size lol. Sidenote the light in this apartment is GLORIOUS

Storage suggestions, all furniture needs to have a dual purpose. Think about getting a platform bed with storage. Living room, get a decorative screen to conceal your desk. I would suggest getting a console/writing desk and placing it opposite your dining table. That way it serves as a buffet table and desk. Get two ladder bookshelves for leaving room, place one on each side of your TV.

suggestions: 1. Command strips for the pictures; 2. Decorative baskets for the entryway shelves for storage and the under the desk things; actually, it is the best way to storage any unwanted seen things around your house plus is visually pleasant; also good for plants (hit the thrift stores for cheap and unique pieces); Go for rattan/bamboo and other natural material such as cloth (good for bedroom) instead of plastic; 3. Don't get rid of your metal pots table but buy an extension -longer one to put side by side; the new one can help you with some storage and use baskets for those as well. 4. You can decorate more by getting beautiful plants. You have the apartment for it (good lighting); 5. Build your own rack using wood and metal pipes for the industrial vibe (Pinterest have plenty of inspiration); plus it is cheap; 6. Rugs to tone down the too industrial metal/concrete vibe for cosiness plus it helps you tovisually section each spaces better ; 7. Invest in good pillows ( boho styles are great as it brings a more eclectic feeling); Wish you the best and happy 2020

Command hooks for hanging stuff on walls, floating shelves for storage and above the desk,ikea for shelves and clothing racks /clothing storage systems, goodwill for a headboard you can paint it or cover it with quilting and fabric, add more wood type furniture/shelving for a warmer feel, steamer trunks are great as storage for blankets and extra pillows at the end of the bed( probably find one at a flea market or garage sale. Petsmart for a storage doggy bed or maybe an old toddler bed that has pull out drawers under it. You could probably fit a big flat dog mattress bed on it so its big but not too big doggo can stretch out. All doggy stuff can go in the drawers under. Hope that is of some use😊👍❤

I would go command hooks/strips on the walls for sure. As far as the rack, you can organize from long items in the back to short items in the front, color coding, like items together, or a combo of all three. Congrats on that massive window. The curtains are lovely. It provides a soft touch to a tough space.
@jujubean19864 жыл бұрын
I love the industrial look. Peel and stick tile on the wall could act as a feature wall/headboard. I would use baskets under the desk to keep things neat. Hooks are always an option for coats, leash, umbrella and other “near the door” things. I would maximize the vertical storage...go to Home Depot and tell them you want to hang things on concrete walls, they will show you everything you need. Concrete screws, heavy duty picture/panel hangers, drill, bits, etc. I would get two or three huge canvases and try some handmade art to hang on the long kitchen/dining wall. It would look great illuminated by all the light from the windows. Keep keeping on! ✌🏾

That spot is beautiful. I'm in Los Angeles and we would have to pay close to 3k for something that nice.

Hello. I just came across your channel for the first time. Without knowing about you, I would say your style is bohemian or eclectic.

Organizing and decorating can be expensive. Have a budget in mind as well as your style and how you want to feel and live in each space/area. Check Offer Up, Facebook Marketplace, reputable consignment and flea markets in your area.I would not recommend purchasing any upholstery items from Offer Up or FB Marketplace. You dont want to get bed bugs. That's just something I shy away from doing. 😊

For the walls oh, I think hardware stores have concrete nails that should not look any worse than a nail in your wall when removed. I use those on a brick wall and when the nail is removed you could put a little mortar or something in the whole but it's really not big. Your bedroom would look cute with armoires or something of that nature hide your clothing or you can use decorative 3 panel screens hi the clothing racks behind.

I love how different SA is. Depending on what side of town you are on depends on what apartments and prices are offered. Downtown is changing so much. I love the cement walls in your apartment. Btw you can use 3m hangers for pics on the cement. It should stick as long as you clean the wall first

I love your place! 😘🙏🏽💖 I buy from Goodwill and I get awesome stuff. I'm wondering if they might have some kind of kitchen hutch that would be small. I've even restored stuff too. You're doing great. I'm 55 and that sure is high rent lol. May the Lord bless you sweet lady
