I think the most important thing in weight loss is diet. If you don't decrease the amount you eat, no matter how much you exercise, it won't work. I agree that walking is one of the best exercise for weight loss but I think to do that, you should walk around one hour. 30 minutes doesn't seem quite enough. Although you try to walk every day, you will miss some days and you will eat more for some days, etc. The greatest benefit of walking would be it's not as hard as other exercises such as running. One other important thing would be you need to stay active for the rest of the day and not be walking for 30 minutes and be stationary for the rest of the time.

I started walking just a few weeks ago. I didn't notice much change in my body yet. I put on my jeans for the day, had to make their belt smaller. Told my mom about the belt and that I didn't see much difference in my body. My mom said that I'm slimmer because I had to make the belt smaller. Then I noticed that difference and I've been happy since then :D

I started walking 40,000 steps per day I walk the whole 8 hours while I work and I stopped needing coffee in the morning the only downside is I get so hot while walking I’m going to do it for a month and keep going if I can keep it up

Even better because us people are made to move, but be sure to space them out through the day.
