What a lovely couple of retro shops. Even the 'junk' shop with less good stuff was really interesting to look around. Best I have in my area, other than the obligatory CEX shops, are basic charity shops, so slim pickings. I always glance through the DVD & Blu-Ray sections though - sometimes clueless staff will put the odd video game in there thinking they're movie discs. 😆👍

Wow, great find with that Tekken 7. The closest we will ever get to having Tekken x Street Fighter with Akuma as a guest character. Seeing PS1 Formula 1 reminded me of Formula 1 97 which had Murray Walker commentary, it had the funny quirk that when you were driving through a tunnel all sound effects had an echo including the commentary. It was like having Murray sat on the car shouting out the commentary 😆

At 3m:34s, I see a Pong console behind the Wii! It looks like a 1977-78 model because the case displays 4 of the games available on the ay-3-8500 chip!!

We went on holiday to Matlock 2 years ago & love the junk shop! Seems they've had a vast improvement since though. We also found the charity shops to have a far better selection than ours back home did. Luckily we're off to Matlock again in July so will certainly be giving critical hit a look if only to compare modded arcade1up cabinets!

If the item proves to be faulty. You have a legal right to return the faulty item for a refund. The store will have no option but to accept. Otherwise, you can report them to trading standards for breaching your rights.

The gold sleeve F12013 has the old F1 cars (Nigel Mansell/Senna etc...) and has Murray Walker doing voice over in training screens, I believe the last video game Murray work on. I play this now and again just for the retro cars.

Le mans 24 hours is also on dreamcast. Should be the best version. I also remember the staff of a dreamcast magazine really did the 24 hour race.

Toca Touring Cars for PS1 is interesting, had good time playing a demo version from Official Playstation Magazine cover disc. My latest buy is actually a CR2032 3V battery for PS3 and TR8 tamper torx bit to disassemble the console (PS3 Slim from 2009). Replaced the battery yesterday, and it fixed the issue of requesting correct time and date at the start, if the console was unplugged from the mains. Strangely the old battery still showed almost 2,8 volts on multimeter, new one had 3,2 volts. I rather expected it showing closer to zero volts, like my old PC cmos battery some time ago.
