Packing the bike for 3-4 days away
When I'm out adventure motorcycle camping this is what I take.
Here: my motorcycle and basic setup below:
The V-STROM 650XT Adventure builds on the comfort, flexibility and performance of the DL650XT model, with the added Adventure Kit.
The Givi Outback motorcycle hard case boxes and panniers will transform a motorcycle into a longer-range touring bike, making it a more practical, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing ride.
The Stop & Go Tire Plugger is the legendary tire repair kit that has been trusted by motorcycle riders for more than 35 years. Keep a kit on your bike at all times and never worry about being stranded with a flat tire on your ride, whether it's across town or across country
Galaxy Tab Active3. Strong inside and out so you can take on the day. The rugged design has water, dust, and 1.5m drop resistance and replaceable battery, boosting productivity with Samsung DeX and enhanced NFC. With touch sensitivity settings, an Active key, and S Pen, put gloves on and get to it.
DMD NAVIGATION
The Motorcycle Navigation Solution - powered by Android
“The ultimate adventure and off-road motorcycle dashboard, since 2018”
Insta360
Total flexibility. No compromises. The only action camera that shoots mind-blowing 360 and wide-angle action shots with just the swap of a lens.

Great video! I'm riding Ft Myers to Batavia NY airshow next week. My gear has always been your left side mesh setup, it's so adjustable as conditions change. Mesh, mesh + raingear, mesh + undergarments + raingear. My entire pack out is the size of your black bag @9:48. I'd like to camp one day, just have not yet.

Hey thanks Motorrad.77!!! All great comments, I'd never camped till I bought this motorcycle 2 years ago. I don't really "camp", I use the camp grounds for a place to sleep and shower, maybe a dip in the lake. I pick up food, for the evening, sleep, pack up in the morning and head somewhere for breakfast. Give it a shot, I meet the nicest people every night at my new camp site! Cheers, thanks again for commenting!

We have a similar set up to packing. One thing I can highly recommend is Rock Straps for that Dry bag. Not expensive and are one of my most coveted upgrades to tie downs or bungie cords.

LMAO. Just went through that on a 3 day trip. I went with the cool weather waterproof gear. My traveling partner went with the warm weather light weight gear. I was comfortable, he was not so much. I figure better a little warmer and dry than cold and wet. Lol.

Well it was the opposite for me, I went light and boy it was 36C all over the Highlands, like riding in a hairdryer LMAO I'm really thinking of switching to a motocross jersey and motocross type armor. I think that would be a lot cooler than the mesh jacket. The type of thing Noraly on Itchy boots wears, seems to have worked for her, outside of the collar bone break in 4 places...

Yeah I was watching Itchy Boots for a long time too. (bought the scarf/head band). Being Dutch/Canadian and all helped too lol.

I enjoyed this and your Creemore video, I am 66, ride a road bike and just started motorcycle camping with the advent of the pandemic. Camped out at Black Donald campground near Calabogie, Huntsville and in Michigan near Traverse City twice. Your newest subscriber Gerhard

Hey Gerhard, thanks for the comment and the subscription. Greatly appreciated!!!! I'll have to look up Traverse City. I think one of my favourite things is packing my camping gear, starting the bike up, and heading off with no idea where I'm stopping during the day or camping that night. I did that all the way to the Cabot trail last year. Thanks again, cheers!

I overcome my mesh dilemma with three things. I have a great little jacket with a silver fabric interior that’s windproof and surprisingly warm that packs up into a tiny bag, I wear that underneath the mesh jacket if it’s going to be a bit cool. On top of the jacket I wear a sailing smock that folds into its own pocket. It gives a good level of waterproof protection. Both take up very little space. I also carry a one piece waterproof suit that I can wear over everything if I need to wrap up warm and stay dry. It too packs small.

Great comment David, thanks for the ideas, I have a bit of sailing gear too that's wind and waterproof too. But it's little more bulky than what you've described, but it sure would keep me warm and dry over the mesh! Thanks again for the great comment!

DeadOnTrail, I'm so jealous of your location! I rode a bit of the NEBDR out on this coast last summer. But I look at all the BDR's out in your neck of the woods with great envy! Just subscribe, looking forward you your loadout video. Thanks for the support, just getting started on YT, greatly appreciated! Cheers

Thank-you for saying so Bob, your comments are always greatly appreciated. It only takes one good comment to make you feel like the time creating the video was all worth while! I'm up in the highland recording more routes right now. motorcycle's temp gauge was reading 37C at times today, I think I single handedly raised Gatorades profits this week. Crazy hot camping!!!

Hey! How are you? Long time, yes retired and working on ways to help other people with Arthritis, motivation, its really hard for a lot of people to help themselves, some just don't think they can do, or don't have any example around them of people succeeding with the disease. Very hard to find someone online so I thought maybe I can do it? Thanks for the comment, hope you are doing well!!!!

Much Enjoyment 👍😎 Have you looked into the carnivore diet for health benefits?
@arthritic.adventures
@arthritic.adventures 3 ай бұрын
Good question!!!! Thanks for commenting, after lots of research it seemed to me that the Mediterranean way of eating (English needs a new word for this as "diet" gets confusing, I'm not "dieting" if you know what I mean) was a good place to start and the information we have today about people living in the "Blue Zones" in the world seemed to make the most sense for me out of the three recommended Keto, Mediterranean and Carnivore. My super quick logic in making the choice? Keto was high in fat, cholesterol and such is a big factor later on in life with Arthritis (I know Keto Dr.'s have thoughts on why that logic is wrong). Carnivore seemed a bit extreme, so I thought let's start with trying Mediterranean. When I have the meds right, exercise right, attitude right and eat Mediterranean I'm golden! So short answer is yes I have looked into it, but never tried it. My biggest issue, and I image it's similar to people with all kinds of disease like and including Arthritis, is not falling off the "bus" of what works. If I eat one ice cream cone I'll eat 10 that month and if I do that, I'll also eat a bag of chips, then I'll skip the gym, and then I'll stay up tooo late watching a movie and get less sleep, this leads to aches and pains, attitude changes to poor me, and down the rabbit hole we go... ...do it for 6 months a year and then fight my way out again! Thanks again so much for the comment and the question!!!

@@arthritic.adventures thanks for the detailed answer 👍 Do give the carnivore eating a good hard look. I have read so many comments from people that have completely reversed what you got and much more. It is simple but not easy. Works for me like a charm.

@@arthritic.adventuresDiet has two separate meanings in English. Your diet is what you eat, to be on a diet is completely different that’s usually got an underlying health based function. No new words are needed the one word covers it all.
